Lounge of Justice - Part 90

This made me laugh. Lawd. I hope the sequel lives up to the og.

Happy holidays to ya'll!
I hope this vaccine can bring us some kind of normality in 2021.
I hope WW84 doesn't suck.
I hope to travel safely to London by early March and smoke some premium cigars, while buying new suits.
I hope Superman fans get another shot at the bigscreen...
I hope my wondering eyes just looks and doesn't fall to temptation.

If I'm somehow banned in absence or forget my password, remember me as I was...beautiful, carefree, no fear, and the funniest mf the hype has ever seen.

I'll see ya bastahs when I see ya.

Just submitted my last two timesheets of this crappy year! Going to take the next 10 or so days to relax I think...

Happy holidays!

The amazing Spiderman films are my favorite because Andrew just nails Peter imo. I love Spiderman 1 and 2 as well, even though the plots are extremely similar as far as the hero/villain parts. The swinging in the Amazing Spiderman films is still the best.

I'm just going to say it and I'm not ashamed The Amazing Spider-Man is the best live action Spider-Man movie so far.

Agreed. It was also the first (and only time) that I was invested in Peter's love life.

I don't care too much about MJ (aka Michelle) and Kirsten's Mary Jane was just painful to watch.

I don't know why they didn't let Zendaya just play Mary Jane. She could've been great in that role, imo. If it was just because they were afraid of the pushback with her not being a red-headed white girl, on what planet did they think making her an MJ knockoff character would somehow go down better with fans?!

I liked Garfield and Stone. A lot of the first ASM works, I think it just gets a bad rap because it admittedly hits a lot of the same notes as the first Raimi flick. But I would've liked to see more of that cast before Sony got too greedy and drove the franchise into the ground.

They were afraid of the redhead erasure folks I see posting on Twitter and Reddit every now and then.:funny:

I read it could be a legal thing. Allegedly Disney would have to pay up if they wanted the Spidey supporting cast to resemble their source material couterparts. That's why MJ isn't a redhead and Flash ain't a jock.

Not sure if it's true or if it makes sense but it's a thing I read.

I saved this video a few days ago and here we are in the lounge talking about Spider-Man! I’m def biased because the Raimi-verse was my era of Spider-Man. They just captured the heart of the characters even in there flaws. I fell asleep watching Spider-Man 3 in theaters just like I fell asleep watching The Amazing Spider-Man. But cool video none the less.

Agreed but I also think it got a bad rap because it wasn't apart of the MCU and people wanted Spider-Man apart of the MCU. For getting that ASM was almost part of the MCU where they wanted to have Avengers tower in the movie but due to talks braking down at the last minute it wasn't.

Merry Christmas everyone! I’ll be doing my pre WE 84 marathon today of Superman ‘78, Batman ‘89 and Wonder Woman 2017.

I hope this movie’s good man. Lol
You sound like you’ve already convinced yourself it won’t be. :funny:

And Merry Christmas (Eve)!

Filling my Christmas viewings with WW84, Soul, and Klaus.

I think I’m put on Scrooged too. I’ve actually never seen it. Recommend?

I'm not there all the way with you, but I love it too.

I wonder how the animated movie would have been like had those TASM movies not existed, cause that version of Gwen Stacy was what inspired the conceptualization and print presence of Spider-Gwen. They could have used a different Spider-Woman, including Silk.

i liked both marc webb spider-man films. a lot.

the raimi films might be objectively better films, but what the asm films got right, they got really right.

These two movies are the best when it comes to to capturing Spidey movements.

Man, the Superman/Lois flight sequence from Superman 78 is so well done despite the fact the aerodynamics of it all is complete shenanigans lmao. They’d never do something like this today i dont think.

Speaking of Superman movies, I'm watching Man of Tomorrow and I'm really liking it, but I think animation is little too similar to Archer.

Jonathan Kent's voice actor sounds pretty close to Clancy Brown, and Zachary Quinto is pretty fine as Lex Luthor, not memorable, not bad, inbetween.
