Lounge of Justice - Part 90

The epilogue was too I believe. It felt almost as out of place as the Joker scene.

As for Cavill I really liked him in MOS but Snyder tainted his version in the subsequent films. (killing him was stupid...and his enhanced cameo in any version of Justice League is a travesty) There is no way to make a MOS2 that won't be linked to films the majority did not connect with. (even if many of us did) I think he has a real passion for the part and I always dug that but he is easily replaceable so things can start fresh. You bring him back and you just double down on what the Snyder Freaks will do. Let them have their tantrums with a new Supes like they do with Pattinson and watch as no one cares.

WB tried doing what people said (we want an edgier Superman cause he is so boring!!!) and the people decided they didn't actually want that and Superman and Lois is proving if you just go back to basics people will love Superman. You don't need to have him navel gaze to make him have pathos and be relatable.

Was the epilogue most of the new stuff filmed for ZSJL? Cause I wish that wasn't in the film...

Yes. That and the Martian Manhunter scenes.

A couple of the shots in the epilogue are recycled from Man Of Steel. The shot of Superman kneeling is taken from the neck snapping scene.

TBS needs to stop airing Aquaman cause I can't not watch it when I see it! James Wan is a Omega Level in the amount of love he put into the project and it just reels me in every time!

Amy Adams is looking great, why do some people don't want to see her back as Lois Lane again ?

I think Cavill and Amy should return in a new Superman movie, it's still possible.

Some people understandably want to move past the MOS era of films. Personally I’d be fine if Henry and co. came back in some capacity, but I’m also not gonna shed any tears if they don’t.

Jesus Christ Di$ney really has no original ideas...

And I love Amy Adam's but they botched Henry and her badly and again the stink of Snyder won't leave her as Lois. He really screwed up Superman.

Momoa and Bautista in a buddy cop movie in Hawaii? Sign me the **** up.

Netflix

Man, say what you want about the quality of their original flicks etc, but their serial killer movies/doc is top notch.

The Raincoat Killer- doc of korea more infamous serial killer is great watch.

Yara

Where is Marta

Why remake a lame movie?

This is true. I've said it somewhere else and I'll say it again here; Superman is how a mature person should be like, you don't grow that up, and it's engaging.

Since netflix is making all them anime live action shows now:

love this series as well, so much style, atmosphere, and cool action.

except the ending. i think the writers couldn't figure how to wrap things up and make sense of what was going on - so they went all existential mind-eff with it.

Shang-Chi fell flat for me. CGI really took me out, and Simu Liu was really lacking for some reason. It was better than Black Widow, I guess.

i enjoyed shang-chi.
the ending was a bit bonkers - but i was fine with that.
it went from a martial arts fantasy to a full on kaiju movie while dealing with themes of family, guilt, and grief.
so i found a lot of it relatable.

my 7 year old liked it but it was probably sensory overload for him - this was the first time he ever watched a superhero movie.
the cool thing about that is his reference point for a superhero now is someone who looks like him and speaks the same languages as him.

Red Notice

So this was 'Tango n Cash' by way of looney tunes. Reynolds had two great bald jokes in the first half. All three leads were there for the paycheck, but Gal seemed to be having the most fun in this kind of role. Eh.
