I'm using a netbook. An Aspire One D255. The specs are as following:

-CPU: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N550 @ 1.50GHz
-CPU Speed: 1.5 GHz
-RAM: 2 Gig
-OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Basic Edition
-Video Card: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 3150

You pick up these for practically nothing now.
They will on practically anything.

The source engine is very accommodating for lower end hardware so counterstrike, portal, Halflife games e.t.c.... should scale back to be playable.
Also check out this game if you can, fantastic RPG very few people have played.
