I liked the first episode. It had some rough moments that were pretty awkward, but most of it was good. I liked the running gag with the black family.

I agree. But surprisingly it seems like A LOT of people really hated it. I just don't see that. It wasn't perfect, but it was certainly funny.

Most of the bad reviews I've seen are from critics who claim that it's a standard sitcom with more cursing. I don't know why the cursing gets such a bad rap, but I barely noticed it. Curb Your Enthusiasm uses much worse cursing, and I thought it was nice to see a sitcom where things could be addressed frankly instead of solely through implications so's the kiddies wouldn't be traumatized.

I loved this show because I loved Louis C.K.'s stand-up routine.

i love the stand up of both Louie CK & (obviously) Lil' Jimmy Norton. Pilots always suck. When the audience is more comfortable with the characters, it will be great... oh an the best quote of the whole show...

"... What do you think Louie? She looked down at your dirty freckled cock & said 'Oh yeah, I want that inside me.'"
