Eberts' 'worst' lists are not collections of the absolute worst movies of the year. Rather, they are lists of those movies that he saw as the most disappointing. Movies that, in his view, came up well short of their potential. If this was such a list from Lyons, I would not have a problem with the inclusion of Synechdoche, but having Beverly Hills and Meet Dave on the same list tells me that this is just a straghtforward 'worst' list, and all that proves is that Lyons is an idiot. Like father, like son, I guess.

BTW, I didn't watch the clip. Not gonna, either.

"Disaster Movie" was likely disqualified based on the fact that it wasn't screened for critics ahead of time.

Anyhow, I just hate "at the movies." now. When Ebert and Roeper were on it was great! And even when Ebert left, I thought they do Roeper and Phillips...I liked them, but nooo they chose Lyons and Mankiew, whatever his name is...why!?..they are so annoying, it used to be a good movie review show.

I haven't seen what these guys do and say, but have Indy 4 as the worse movie off the year puts their opinions in the garbage.

Honestly, I consider Speed Racer an avant garde thing that the W's did. Even if it was based on an earlier property and was supposed to be this mass merchandising blitz, the way they filmed that ****, it was basically an experiment on their end.
