Horror M. Night Shyamalan’s “Trap”

OMG so the twist is:

that there is none really...

Why did everyone seemingly hate this? I just saw it and I thought it was okay, lol!

You gotta respect M. Night for doing nepo right. If your daughter is going to nepo her way into the business, she is going to be a popstar. Lawd. Tips fedora hat to JJ Abrams and his daughter awful music as well.

The craziest part about this scene is that dude does not look 22. :o

Came into this movie blind. When the movie started I thought man this premise is great, but after 30 minutes and all the dumb coincidences it just got pretty below average and dumb at parts. Was an hour too long. Got dumber by the minute. A premise stretch too far out. I haven’t seen Josh in almost twenty years so was really cool to see him. Not much to work with though. Came across as a vehicle to enhance his daughters music career

Look how amazing I am immersing the audience by being able to hide the camera by filming an entire exchange in front of a mirror.

I just watched this. It was a waste of my life that I could have spent watching 2 Desperate Housewives episodes.

The plot was not strong enough for a nearly 2hr film. It was already pushing things at 30 minutes.

They did A LOT of mental gymnastics to have Josh's character be as successful as he was in evading the cops. How the hell did he get an FBI squat uniform and be the only one to drive the limo? WHere was the driver? Why wasnt she escorted by multiple cops? How did he get out of the limo and no one seemingly notice or say anything when the squat team arrived?

It should've ended after the singer got out of the car in the garage.

finally watched it the other day I really liked it Josh was good in this I still cannot believe it was him in some shots and I have to say the shirt vendor guy stole his scenes specially his final scene :funny:

Hartnett was good in this but the movie falls apart at the end. His plan to get away ultimately makes no sense and then with the way he evades cops you would think he has superpowers. And the “twist” with the wife was ridiculous. I wouldn’t rank this as low as some of M. Night’s worst material (The Happening, Lady in the Water, Knock at the Cabin) but it was ****ing stupid.

Ironically, it wasn’t the dumbest thriller film I’ve seen this month that revolves around a fictional pop star. That honor goes to the somehow more nonsensical and idiotic Smile 2.

I feel the same way! Vendor guy was perfect!
