CBR posted a very cool interview with some preview images of MODOK's 11. This sounds like lot of fun, and I'm looking foward to it.

Anyone know who the art team is? It looks fantastic, but CBR has a bad habit of not even mentioning the other people involved when they do these interviews.

Tthis looks good nice to see marvel super-villians doing thier jobs agan

I'm really looking forward to this. The concept sounds great and the cast of characters revealed so far is awesome. The ****ing Spot, baby! :D

I don't know who the artist is either. He/she looks pretty good for the most part, except for that awkward pose the Puma's striking.

does look fun...i've always liked modok as a villain...i'd have liked him to be more an avenger threat level really...but im happy with modok to make an appearance in anything.
even ms.marvel!!

I'm assuming no one knows the artist, huh? ****ing CBR...

Interesting looking series. Might actually shell out the money to pick this up. I'll probably at least give the first issue or two a try.

Wonder how Armadillo got bounced from the Rangers?

he probaly was blackmailed by modok

With all those Spider-Man villains (and occasional allies) appearing, you can count ME in.

It's Marvel's answer to "Villians United", well I loved that mini so I'm definetly picking this up.

Game? You think this is a game?! ....... Sorry, I had to say it. :( Anyway looks good and I'll check it out.

Yeah but lately to mention Marvel comics and fun in the same sentence is like taboo. With all the freakin wars and heroes turning "bad" its not to fun. .......With that said, I can't wait til WWH!

I was wondering that myself. What is the point of having reformed villians become heroes if it is negated almost immediately? Do I think the other books will acknowledge this change either, or will we still see group shots of Armadillo with the Rangers for the next few months? Marvel's made blunders throughout CW and I don't expect them to change.

Granted, overall I don't mind it. There are very few decent villians anymore and the more you make heroes, the more you have to force writers to overuse the A-List baddies or attempt to make their own, who ALWAYS suck. Seriously, name me one "good" villian created within the last 5 years. One. And if they died at the end of their debut arc, they don't count, because that's happened way too often.

I got VILLIANS UNITED so it's only fair I pick this up. So we have MODOK, Armadillo, Nightshade, Spot, Chameloan, Mentallo, Living Laser, Puma, and Rocket Racer. It is about time someone tried to rip off the OCEAN'S 11/12 franchise and this looks like fun. I wonder if having some "sometimes heroes" like Puma & Rocket Racer (and technically 'dillo I guess) may muck things for the team in the end? Of course, Puma's been a merc before, so being "hired" for a gig won't seem new to him.

Hopefully, the Spot might be used in some serious manner to amp him up. He's got a power that could be dangerous, he just usually looks and acts like a ****** with it.

I'm pretty sure I'm safe from that. lol

People can involve themselves in petty slap fights all they like, it most definitely will not hinder me. ^_^

It's a weird thing, continuity. One sentence can change my entire opinion of a comic book. For example, if this book hits and Armadillo is shown just hooking up with MODOK on a heist, with no mention of the Rangers, I'm going to think less of it. However one sentence can change that for me. "I quit the Rangers" or "They fired me" makes it A-OK. It's strange that we (myself included) can make that into the big deal we make it into.

Another thing about that is that Marvel (and DC) know this. I know that Joe Quesada knows this because every week I read his answers to continuity questions. Is it so hard for an editor to tap the writer on the shoulder and tell him to slip a line in here or there? Is that really too much to ask? It seems like they'd be doing it on their own, if for no other reason than to quell the *****ing that arises when they don't. C'mon Marvel. One sentence.

At least Van Lente mentioned it in the interview, so hopefully it'll make it's way into the book as well.

Why didn't they just use Sandman if they wanted an unattached heavy hitter?

The Hood? the new Spymaster?

The Hood? the new Spymaster?

Hood, good one. JUUUUST falls under the 5 year banner (July, 2002). His status as a "villian" is currently in question. He wanted to go straight, at least to appease his mother, at the end of BKV's MAX series. In BEYOND! he certainly was an anti-hero at worst. Bendis has promised to amp him, but that hasn't happened yet, so...

Still, nice one. Not sure on Spymaster.

Because they are too busy pimping him out in Spider-Man books to use him elsewhere right now, due to SPIDER-MAN 3.

Man, we've seemed to be agreeing a lot these days. I agree on your "one sentence" thing. It always amazed me as well that writers/editors can't save themselves a heap of trouble on the message boards simply by throwing in a sentence. This gets especially frustrating when the writer is someone like Bendis who wastes dozens of lines per issue on useless crap.
