Since Alex Ross is one of my two largest influences, I decided I'd try doing art the way he does it...

He gets pics of his friends in the suits of the superhero he's trying to portray [although my friends didn't wear the suits in their pictures], and uses them as the basic model for the hero.

I thought I'd give it a shot. So far, I've only had one I'm satisfied with, and this one got guys asking for her number/MySpace URL/AIM address via MySpace.

Let me know what you think, I might post more!

There's a reason behind it all- out of all the other pics I did before hers, this was the first one that was "lighthearted" [the others appeared dark and cynical, although they still sucked lol], and that's just how the girl is. She's the kind of happy, always-fun-to-be-around kinda person, so I figured I'd show that with this pic.

That's one thing I've always found odd, though... I never thought my shading was very good- hell, I always thought it was one of my weakest points...

But that's the #1 thing I get compliments on. Kinda odd to me.

I don't see the head problem, however. You two were the first two to bring it up. I'll look into it with my next drawings, thanks!

Cool drawing, my only suggestion is that his right arm looks too small. Maybe if you enlarge his hand it would give the perspective you're going for.

Lmao, yeah... I totally botched the right arm.

I worked on it for like 45 minutes before finally getting to that pose... And I STILL effed it up.
