I'm in my 20s and I've seen the films. I'm not a hipster either, I just grew up watching older movies with my father...

Photos are great! I wonder if that's Hoult as Nux in the top left?

Biolumen forgot to post this but Dog is back in Fury Road, albeit via flashbacks:

No more bumping without a trailer. It should be a rule at this point. :o

SDCC is the likely scenario of any footage but of course you got to be at the con to see it. :cmad:

Maybe a teaser in December with The Hobbit?

Some news? Junkie XL talked about how he's scoring the film right now until May, though drops a comment about additional filming happening...?

Also, bit of a bummer, but since Disney now has the exclusive deal it pretty much rules out Fury Road being on IMAX screens. :(

    May 15th, 2015.

I think it's literally Warner Bros. only major summer movie that year since they bumped Superman/Batman.

I think when they start marketing this film they really need to hammer home that this film is a sequel to the older movies because I've seen way too many people call the film a remake.

    There's nothing to indicate it's a sequel.

^ Actually Miller said that this takes place in between Road Warrior and Thunderdome.

Note: Not trying to 1Up you twice in a row in this thread after you comment about WB's Summer 2015 haha.

    Yep

Mad Max has a distinct timeline.

Max is 23 years old in Mad Max, in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, he is 28 years old; and in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, he is 43 years old.

Tom Hardy is in his mid 30's and is probably playing Mad Max around that age also Hardy's Max costume looks post Road Warrior/pre-Beyond Thunderdome (still has the leg brace from being shot in the knee in the first film)

It'll only be a 1up if you can actually find such a quote. The only time to my knowledge Miller addressed the story and outline for Fury Road was when he said this:
Given how the previous movies, except Mad Max, were a "tale" you only need to apply the Rashomon effect to the series since The Road Warrior was told by the Feral Kid and Thunderdome the Tell by the children and Fury Road follows suit as the original PR release states it's an "account" by the survivors of the Road War that takes place during the film.

Also the ending of Fury Road cannot tie into Thunderdome due to the circumstances of how it plays out.

In truth you could call it a sequel to Thunderdome and a reboot and still be technically right because of the Rashomon effect and thus pleasing everybody.

1/2up then. I guess my point is that it's not a total reboot, but rather, just another chapter of Mad Max. Episodic.

I came across some Fury Road concept artwork that was for sale on ebay, and was able to grab some photos before they were pulled.

    I've made more photos available

Turns out my friend's cousin is a concept artist on the film, needless to say my friend is ridiculously proud because he loves Mad Max as much as I do.

Why would anybody try to sell concept art that belongs to a studio for a film that isn't even out yet? What a DUMMY. Cool art though.

God damn those concept illustrations are so bad ass!

I would love to see a live action film that looked as stylized as those drawings. Some kind of 300/Sin City/Scanner Darkly combination.

My guess is that this concept art is very old.
