My wife realized this while we were watching it for the 9,999,999 time (my 3 yr old LOVES it)... Spider-Man triggers the alarm at the Conners lab, Spidey and Black Cat both leave after "Kurt Conners" enters. You can hear in the background approaching police vehicles. Now, one must assume that said sound was the police reacting to the tripped alarm.

Brock gets mad the next day when it he discovers Peter took pics but didn't notify the police. The police were notified by the tripped alarm, so it's not like hours went by between theft an police show up, but because the cops are still searching during the morning, it makes it seem like the writers & sound editor were not on the same page.

So the police WERE notified in ample time, not that there is much they could do.

Sounds more like a sound editing mistake rather than a plothole. Mistakes happen. Luckily, this one was subtle and it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the episode.

Yeah, same thing seemed to happen in the final Goblin episode where sirens are heard outside the Osborne's apartment. New York is bustling with cop cars on their way to places.

Very true. When i was at NYCC last year, i had to listen to sirens all...night....LONG! :cmad:

That's life in the big city, i guess. :cwink:

What did Eddie think Peter calling the Cops would've changed anyways? BC still would've been long gone by the time they got there if immediately called.

It's about Peter showing responsibility and not being self-centred.

It still wouldn't have changed anything. Brock was just being a jerk blaming Peter for something he couldn't have affected either way.

He could have at least tried. And that's what Brock hates him for, for being selfish.

You're right that it would not have changed anything and Eddie probably knows this but that isn't the point. As I and R-Taco have mentioned it's about Peter being self-centred that drives Eddie's anger.

problem is the report said spider-man tripped the alarm, or something close to that. in any instance eddie didn't know peter was spider-man at that point. and later on, when he does, the symbiote uses negative memories to overthrow his better judgment.

it's hard to have an epiphany when your wearing something that fuels your hate.
