The head sculpt of the prototype of the Storm action figure for X-men looked, dare i say, HOT!

The eventual actual figure that was mass produced was a disappointment and looked nothing like the prototype... :cmad:

Good, maybe it'll be opposite for Wolvie & Sabretooth.

I remember seeing pictures of those figures a couple of months ago. Defenitely look awesome!

Here's what comicscontinuum.com has to say this time:

The 26th Marvel Minimates assortment from Diamond will spotlight the movie. Featured in the set are Blob and Leather Jacket Wolverine; Deadpool and Congo Wolverine; Logan and Sabretooth; and the limited variant Logan and Congo Sabretooth!

Other merchandise from the movie:

Rittenhouse Archives will be releasing a trading card set based on the film. The 72-card set will feature action images, storylines and behind-the-scenes moments from the movie. Special cards will include autographs cards from Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds and Danny Huston, as well as costume and sketch cards. A custom-designed album with nine-pocket pages will also include a bonus promo card.

Hasbro's toys will reach stores on March 1.

It's really interesting the exclusion of Gambit (and Taylor Kitsch) from mention on neither one of these (minimates and autograph cards).

The Blob seems like a weird choice to have. Silver fox or Gambit would have made more sense.

MATTEL SUCKS A** :cmad: They really do need better prototype sculptors...why didn't they just hire the Marvel Legends ones?! :cmad:

Creed & Wolverine suck. But the Logan is cool, plus it's Hasbro. Mattel does DC which alot of those figures suck more than these. *cough*RegularTDKline*cough*

Are these figures smaller because the economic slump made plastic expensive or something?

^ LOL

I don't take credit for finding this pic, someone posted them over at the Wolverine and the X-men forum...

Looks like there's gonna be some "Walmart exclusives" seeing as the two X-men Origins: Wolverine figures on the right have a different box from the ones on the left, plus there's a Walmart "sticker" on them.

wow, just wow at those claws. Granted they will be aimed at kids...and pointed claws probably are not the best thing for them. Granted, this may upset some of the 25+ crowd who wanted to run around with them too. :yay:

Granted lol

There's a decent "how to make Wolverine Claws" video on youtube though...

Those figures look great, IMO. The Wal-Mart excusives really look interesting in a good way, IMO.

You know they give me awesome superhero hype bonus points every-time I say Granted.

That's what I get for never re-reading what I type.

Yea I ain't too fond of them DP figures. But they are the comic version, maybe the movie version will be less cartoony and more real and gritty.

And BTW it's Sai. :D

Did Hasbro make the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle animated series (2003) figures, because Deadpools Sai looks an awful lot like the huge ones Raph had.
Anyway it definitely looks a bit to too big!

Hasbro really sucks at making figures. His syi (I have no clue how to spell it) is almost as big as his body.

That's probably what she said.

Seriously though, I'm not a toy collector, but I'd of gotten a figure of DP if it was at least on par with the Marvel Legends series.

I think they already did a DP Marvel Legends figure.

And I agree, Hasbro "sucks"

Sai...of course! You know that spelling cost me winning the final prize on wheel of fortune once...that isn't true at all, but makes for a slightly more interesting story.

They did "make" a DP Marvel Legends figure. I "think" it came with Doop. I had "owned" it. I like quotation marks too.
