Making Costumes?

Some of the S&M, B&D shops probably have the latex costume bits you need.

I think the either the first or last one would be good, but that's just my opinion.

Well it depends on what color your coat is, i think it looks bad when the hat doesnt match the coat.

i completely agree. but thats extremely difficult to tell at the moment, because im dying it. but by itself which hat do you think is the most rorschach-y?

Links 2 and 3 don't work bro, but dont make the same mistake as i did, i bought my hat first, thinking that finding a coat wouldn't be that difficult, boy was i wrong but when i finally found one at a salvation army it was much lighter than my hat so now im in the process of dying it, hopefully the color comes close to the hat if not i'm gonna have to exchange my hat for a lighter one, what material is your coat made out of? is it dyeable?

ya i already have my coat, its polyester. i'm waiting for the dye to finish drying (i got special polyester dye). its like a basic brown color pretty much

so wich hat d oyou guys think is the best for my rorschach costume? :

???
im obviously going to put on a purple ribbon and remove the feather from the second one

I like the first one the best but the second looks really good too.
But again, it all depends on the color of your coat.

*sigh* Fine. *puts stones down.*

Seriously though, it's not a bad idea. Pretty creative.

Aww, thank you for not killing me. :)
I just want another option if my Silk Spectre costume doesnt work out.

But I really dont want to make it look like Rorschach is a cross-dresser.
Because my hair wont show with the mask and putting a wig on would probably look silly.

Here are a couple different mask designs I've been working on.

How do you go about making a mask? I'm wantin' one now.

Those look really good Soulinertia.
Did you use a black acrylic?
Hows the visibility?

I was thinking of using cheesecloth for the mask but I've since come across some fine weave hemp that may work better.

Wow Soulinertia, great work on those masks! :woot: Are you just planning on wearing the one, or swapping them occasionally..? :cwink:

Great work all around guys. I really hope I get to see some Watchmen at the MCMExpo I'm attending soon :oldrazz:

I would go myself, but I'm not too fond of SS's outfit 0.o (For myself :whatever:).

Thanks for the compliments!

These patterns were actually digitally printed onto the cloth. Visibility is just so-so. I'm looking into other materials as well.

Thats like really amazing!
Wonderful, wonderful. Im kinda jealous. :P
Are those t-shirts? Or like some other kind of material?

My sister is planning on dressing up as Rorschach for halloween, as well as for a parade tomorrow. Only problem is that she still hasn't made a mask yet, which we are attempting to do now. We have a white t-shirt and black markers but we're a little unsure about what exactly we should do. Do you cut the t-shirt at all, how do you keep it in place on your head and what do you do about the neck? Any help (asap!) from anyone who has already made a mask would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm planning on going as the second Nite Owl (dunno if I posted this previously - internet acted up,) and I was wondering if anybody else was doing it? As much as I am fond of Roscharch, pretty much everybody will be going as him, and I kind of don't want to do what everybody else is doing. I would like to ask anyone with extensive costuming experience: is there a way to make a decent jumpsuit resemble the one from the Snyder adaptation, without going over the thousand dollar mark? Would it be more feasible to modify an existing wet/dive suit? I just would like a bit of guidance, since I'm a tad inexperienced in this area...

Anyone know any stores or places where I can buy a trench coat similar to OctaviousINC. His looks beautiful, so does anyone have any sites where I can buy one? For a CHEAP price.
