Here are a couple different mask designs I've been working on.

I would say this is either amazing, or downright beautiful, but, is it too much to ask for both?

Well, like I said, I started my hunt today but wasn't as lucky as I thought.

Only thing I found was gloves.

Tomorrow I'm going to a few thrift stores and I'll see what I can find.

Well im almost done with my Rorschach costume but i needed two quick opinions/suggestions.

1. Where can i buy gloves, ive looked in many places and all i seem to find are femaile gloves.

2. I bought a coat at a thrift store after visiting many i finally found one that fit me well and that i liked but with one problem, its missing a belt, should i add one on or leave it as is?

I think the masks are cool the only problem (and they've done this in the movie as well) the mask is made out of fabric, like cotton isn't the mask supposed to be made out of plastic type material (rosharch sealed it with an iron)?

It's a futuristic material derived from Dr. Manhattan's technology. Maybe it looks like a cotton, but seals with heat.

Has anyone attempted to make a Rorschach mask that has moving ink blots? I'm looking into it and I have a few ideas, but I'm not sure how well it will work.

Here's the beginning work of my Rorschach costume. As of now, I have the mask, hat, and coat.

This is the first picture I took, when the mask wasn't done yet but I wanted to see how it looked.

And then, still getting there.

And finished.

Can't get a full pic though since I don't have a camera right now other than the webcam on my laptop.

My friend is coming in to Superhero day at my High school (yeah, we have pretty weird spirit weeks) as Rorschach, to whom i loaned a Scarf and made a mask. So far he looks badass, but needs to find a good fedora, coat, and pants (and gloves, which i recommended joker's purple gloves) and he can't see through it

Thank you. Dude, I wish my highschool had a Superhero day, that's pretty nifty. You'd actually be surprised where you can get a good fedora... I got mine at Target.

Yeah same here. I'm just beginning the drafting phase of a Rorschach costume for the movie premiere. I just finished a screen accurate Heath's Joker Costume and I'm already thinking about the next attempt. I think finding the coat and the mask will be a big problem. What are everones recommendations on the coat, scarf and mask? What to use?

Oh yes and Hot topic has the purple pinstriped pants. They don't work for Joker cause they're purple and black instead of purple and white but they sure work for Rorschach!

I got to speak to Dave Gibbons today while he was signing the new Who Watches the Watchmen book. Really nice guy. And quite informative.
I asked him a few questions about Rorschachs costume.
He said the hat is a trilby with a really narrow brim almost like a pork pie but not quite. The boots are Chelsea boots (a homage to Daves mod days). Colour wise he said dark tan to brown. Suit and trousers (pants) purple with black pinstripe.

The one I got was a blank "DIY Rorschach" mask, but it seems like there aren't any of those up for sale anymore or at the moment.

Yeah, they aren't fine quality or anything. But if all you need is one for a costume, it's cool.
