And how did you guys make the designs on your masks? I'm afraid to ruin it.
I haven't made one yet, but if I may I'll offer some ideas..And how did you guys make the designs on your masks? I'm afraid to ruin it.
? honestly
? I would order the spandex hood from that creepy site OctaviousINC showed me, but I want to see if there's something out there that doesn't need ordering. amazing work on the costume, what kind of shirt are you using?Really early days yet. I'm still making up my mind on what fabric to use for the mask, I've narrowed it down to about four swatches so far.
This was just a quick test to see how the colours and style of the hat went together. I dyed the trench/pea coat from a sand colour. I'm not totally sold on the hat, I'm still on the look out for a better one.

As ever Lemony your too kind. I appreciate it.
ok, cool, yeah I think I followedThanks!
It's coming together slowly.
As for the shirt. I'm not using it, it was just for the test photo to see what the colours looked like together.
I should eventually have a sewn full face hood once a suitable fabric has been chosen.
I had thought about using the fine mesh eyehole method but I'm not to keen on the way it looks under flash photography.
Gonna use fabric paint for the blot design. You can achieve some really good results by watering the paint down. This way you can achieve the transitional look that the movie stills seem to have, you know that faded outline. I think thats what they were trying to achieve, a freeze framed look. As if the blot design would normally be moving but was caught mid flow by the photo.
Does this make sense, or am I waffling? lol
Anyway got to get a move on.
yeah, too shiny for my tasteI think a lot of the masks on here look better than this professional one for $170!

Well done everyone.
anyone going blue and naked this year?
He said blue and naked, not blue and in cutoffs.
HEY. There are DOZENS of us. DOZENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
((Arrested Development for the WIN.))
::high five::
I thought about being Manhattan this year for halloween but i chose not to for fear of people thinking i was dressing as a member of the blue man group.
!!!! *high five*!!!! *high five*
Lol! I know, it's a sad fact. Blue man group members, Manhattan, and a famous PhD Analrapist (uh-NAHL-ruh-pist~ analyist and therapist...) who is also a never-nude all do have that one particular thing in common. I can see where folks might get confused...
I'd go as Lindsay Bluth or Laurie, but there's some similarities there too.![]()
