Male and Female Gender Tags?

Is there any chance of us having male and female gender tags? I've noticed a number of posters getting male and female posters mixed up. I'm actually one of them

If a woman wants fellow posters to know they're female, they should be using fairly explicit female names to identify themselves.

Why does it matter if you are talking to a girl or a guy unless you are hitting them up for a date? And is it so hard to correct someone if they guess wrong? If someone calls me "Dude" I point out that I am the emprESS and forget about it.
