I think it would be GREAT to be famous:
-free stuff
- People are nicer to you
- You get first priority
- ...oh, and free stuff.

If I was famous I would not mind AT ALL to give my fans autographs, I would never be able to thank them enough for giving me the chance to entertain them
Sure the paparazzi would be annoying at times but the good stuff far outweighs the bad imo.

And then you die in a pool of your own vomit at 27

Yep, the first couple of months will be awwsome, but you'll want to rip their heads when their coming up to ya everywhere you go. But yea signing autographs at some premiere or screening isn't really a problem that's expected, but when it comes to not being able to walk down the street or at the park without being hassled, then it becomes a problem.

I think being famous is all its cracked it to be. Surely it's nice to be known and be the envy of many people, but after awhile I'm sure it gets old and aggrevating... Unless you find like a middle ground, like a director...Someone making serious dough buit isn't all that recognized by the mainstream crowd... Or maybe a pornstar :word:... Assuming you are a male though.

^I actually want to be a movie director (doesn't everybody? :hehe: ) and I agree, in terms of celebrity status I always thought they had the best deal: If you're good enough you are known but not known well enough where it comes to a point where its just plain annoying.

But yes, it would suck to be constantly in the middle of a crowd of random people asking for your autograph but I would still love it because chances are you're rich and you're living a good life (financially of course)...Now if you were infamous AND broke...wow, that would be a living hell  :down

She's only done a couple of movies and now with Watchmen on the horizon--she's already being mobbed for autographs? I thought that only happens after the movie comes out...

That's what's good about a filmmaker, the press and such don't give a rat's ass about you. :woot: Privacy!

If I was an actor I would be happy to sign autographs, sign as many as possible. Alot like how Johnny Depp does it, he's such a great guy around the fans. He even signed a camera man's hat at a POTC premiere.

Directors FTW!

Anyway, I laughed when she said "Ok one more...."

And as she's signing it, another dude shoves another one in her face. God what a *****e.

Oh well, she seems nice.

Wow, I can't believe how patient she was. Folks were coming after her like sharks, and she kept polite the entire time. Kudos to you, Ms. Akerman.

She's was great about it all. She kept her cool the entire time

Shows the kind of person you are when you do that really.

I love her! She is just awesome! She may not be a great actress, but she has charisma and class.

I would walk by this chick without even knowing who she is.

Hmm. I've heard this before. What were the instances that could cause you to doubt her acting abilities in the film?

well she was in Herold and Kumar go to White Castle lol

Nice to see she had time and patience for the fans, I like to see that in an actor/acctress.

I think after Watchmen, Malin will probably get alot more opportunities in Hollywood. Many actors just need one breakout performance to become a hot commodity (like Sandra Bullock with Speed).

I think that "Watchmen" will boost a lot of the cast's careers. Billy Crudup and Carla Gugino already have an impressive line of work. Patrick Wilson has been getting steady work (Lakeview Terrace) and his career will continue to grow. Malin's career will benefit from it. I think Jackie Earle Haley and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's careers will take off tremendously. I'm hoping JDM will get some tough guy roles, because if you look at his resume, he's got some lame stuff on there like "PS I Love You" and "Grey's Anatomy". And if rumors are true, Jackie Earle Haley could be taking over the role of Freddy Krueger from Robert Englund. As for Matthew Goode, he seems like the type of guy who'll stick to under-the-radar indie-type films, but I could be wrong.

Seriously, i'd love to be a director to...they definitely, imo, have the most fun when making a movie...The most work aswell, but definitely the most fun position.
