Mama Petrelli's power

I'm assuming that too cause there is someone on the list with teleportation and What is her madien name?

I'm gonna predict it's one of her sons. Nathan makes sense as far as the "Point A to Point B" thing. But I'm also thinking Peter, because she was probably one of those older generations of Heroes Invisible Man talked about, when he suggested that there are others that had the same power as Peter.

Maybe she has wings? That would be a very cool visual if they could pull it off. But they'll probably go with the safer route, teleportation.

Teleportation, like Nightcrawler style. That'd be fun.

it should be a power Peter's already leeched.

can't imagine what it'd be. He was in the same room as Eden but hasn't exhibited her ability. I figure the dream stuff comes from Papa Devereaux.

I'm gonna go with teleportation also. Like when she was talking to Claire and Claire asked her "are you like me?" she sat up and I was going: 'Oh yes, now she's gonna teleport!"

the choices:

teleportation
flight
phasing
superspeed

any others?

this is the part that's puzzling: it takes a lot less effort

I was just gonna make a thread about this! Here is my theory: She can see the future, probably in dreams. Think about it: Peter had the power to see future events before meeting Isaac, when he dreamed of flying, and the accident of Nathan. I'm pretty sure that Angela Petrelli can dream the future

I don't think that Peter was seeing the future when he dreamt that he could fly. I think it was a subconscious signal that his power was manifesting. A switch had been turned on. that's all.

And Nathan accident? he was dreaming about it. And he dreams about the future a lot, when Isaac's power seems to manifest only when painting (Isaac only painted the future, Peter painted he walks on air, completed the painting in Isaac's apartment, Sylar painting the oval office). But Peter had a lot of prophetic dreams: He could fly, Nathan's accident, the bombing, the bombing again now with that Claude guy, the death of Simone's father...

did he dream about Nathan's accident? i don't think he did. i think that was some creative editing. Nathan flew up out of the car and it cut to Peter asleep with his arm raised in the air, as if he had somehow remotely lifted Nathan out of the car. at that point, the audience had no knowledge of Peter's power or if Nathan had a power himself. Peter hasn't dreamed the future. and technically, Nathan's crash wasn't the future; it was the present.

Peter did dream about the crash, he mentioned it to Nathan

He dreamt it, and also said to Nathan something he shouldn't know about, like the kind of car in the accident (I think he says something about a van, and Nathan asks how does he knows there was a van).
Maybe he dreamt before the accident, and that was the creative editing, or maybe he dreamt it at the same time, and the power is not "see/dream the future" but more a combination of that and clairvoyance.
But what I'm sure is, that is not Isaac power, and it is something real, not coincidence

That doesn't make any sense in the context of the show. No one (apart from Isaac) is clairvoyant. I still believe it was nothing but a device used to make a character become aware of a power/ability that had been switched on. The writers used it at the time, and they haven't done anything with it since. have they? lol. my memory of earlier episodes is apparently shot...

back to Mama Petrelli...i don't see how "it takes a lot less effort to get from Point A to Point B" refers to clairvoyance or seeing the future.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Pls__upCfKg 3:20 Peter asks Nathan if he remembers the other car; Nathan is startled and tries to blow it off since Peter dreamed it, but ultimately concedes it's true.

If Peter isn't dream-clairvoyant (or whatever that is), how did he dream Claude before he met him? Or Niki, Dl, and Micah? He still hasn't met them, but they were in his vision/dream/thingy. I think this is why Peter is so convinced he's the bomb. He dreamed of flying and he flew; he dreamed of Nathan crashing and there was a crash; he dreamed of Claude and subsequently met him. Peter dreams he explodes, so it's not surprising he believes it (though I don't) based on prior experiences.

Could impenatrable skin be a variation on regeneration? As far as "point A to B," it would require less effort because she wouldn't need to regrow if she can't be hurt in the first place. It would take less effort to go from injured to uninjured (though she really wouldn't be injured in the first place).

that's true. i had forgotten about that.

hmmm...interesting. i guess point A and point B don't have to be spatial (or temporal) references. that pretty much puts everything in play.

Maybe she can see the future without having to paint or draw - that's less effort.

But I still think the dreams come from Papa Devereaux. If Mama Petrelli can see the future, wouldn't see have foreseen Peter dying?

As for Papa Devereaux, I'm not the first one to say this, but it was Richard freaking Roundtree. You don't hire Shaft on a genre show just to die for a few scenes. I am *convinced* Papa Devereaux is part of the original Justice League/Watchmen with Mama and Papa Petrelli, Linderman, Claude, and Mr. Nakimura. Am I forgetting anyone?
