Man 1 Shark 0

Feels kinda...planned....I don't know.

'Sharks are so resilient and so tough from millions of years of evolution they are just survivors.

'The best way and quickest way to finish the job and kill the shark and recover it was to get a rope around its tail, drag it from the back of the boat and attempt to drown it.

'In the end we had put a knife its skull once I got lose enough to it and use a long blade knife even after trying to drown it.'
He tried to....drown a shark? :funny:

"We're gonna draw him into the shallow waters. We're gonna draw him in and drown him."

Isn't it a law you have to say "smile you son of a b@#$%" before delivering the killing blow?

Sharks have to constantly move for the water to filter through their gills. If you stop them from moving, they drown. They are different from other fish

^LOL, You tea bag a shark after killing it. You might as well kill yourself, because life can't get much more awesome than that.

Fools would just lay back and become food.

I love animals, but I will fight one if it were trying to kill me or someone close to me. I agree that two hours was excessive though, and while I understand that tiger sharks are particularly voracious and persistent, I'd like to know why they didn't just get out of the water.

He's getting a lot of flack from the shark community especially from the video where it apparently shows the shark checking him out without showing any sort of threatening behavior. If I were able I probably would have killed it too, because, well... It's a shark and it's way too close for comfort, but I guess if I were in their shoes I would know the difference between when a shark's going to attack and when it's just curious. It shouldn't take two hours to kill a shark with the tools he had and skill he possessed. He was just dragging it out and hamming it up which is sick.

If the shark was just getting too close, a simple punch on the nose should drive it away if it was there out of curiosity (which sharks are known for).

Not Tiger sharks....you don't want to let one get that close....

But, I love sharks, this is kinda sad......

Still, being prepared to fight it off is a good idea, so what's one punch either way?

If all I lose is a hand from a tussle with a tiger shark, I'd be grateful.

Well, first of all.....you never want to punch a sharks nose with a "fist"...

Most sharks you are going to see are probably under 6 ft in length, a "fist" would fit nicely into an open mouth. Open palm to the snout would do...

As far as Tiger sharks, they normally come from beneath much like Great Whites, and you'll never know what hit you....:yay:
