BvS Man of Steel 2:Untitled Soundtrack

I am wondering if hans zimmer will come back and if he does not, then who will do the score?

Zimmer will do it, trust me. They'll throw money at him. And I would expect a collaboration with another composer, just like he did with James Newton Howard for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

If it's really such an issue, Zimmer can score Superman, someone else can score Batman. Zimmer has no responsibility in crafting a Batman theme.

After watching Catching Fire, I wouldn't mind if James Newton Howard took over and scored the film. The music in that movie was pretty damn good. Also, Horn of Plenty is an epic track:

Whoever scores the film, I would love for them to at least build on Zimmer's theme for Superman. Batman has tons of material to work with, which I doubt will have any problems. Wonder Woman's theme wouldn't be much of a challenge. Something like Xena's theme or Christopher Drake's WW theme would be great. Something feminine and powerful. Superman, however, has very little to work with. There is much more that can be done with the MOS theme. Hopefully, the next composer can go about it with fresh ideas.

If Zimmer doesn't return I wouldn't mind any of the below composers.

Christophe Beck
Michael Gichiano
John Powell

I want to see Zimmer back his MOS score was one of my favorites from any modern superhero related film.

Zimmer doesn't seem too jazzed about coming back partly because of potentially retread ground with Batman. I agree with the idea that him doing a collaboration with someone else would be the best way to go, divvying up the work between the two characters.

I think Howard Shore would be a fantastic match for Superman but he probably wouldn't fit this particular version.

I'd love to hear Shore try his hand at it as long as he builds off of Zimmer's established score. Just augment/modify it to fit the movie. I love Zimmer's MOS score independently (if you don't have to two disc vinyl you're missing out) but in the context of the movie itself it felt weak. Maybe it wasn't implemented right for me or the sound mixing was off. I don't necessarily need a Williams-esque march but I really want a Superman theme that jumps out at me triumphantly during the course of the film.

I hate it when the Nolanites try to shoehorn Zimmer and Goyer into everything.

Since this is the first ever BATMAN and SUPERMAN live action movie. One would have to bring out the best.

1) Put Danny Elfman, John Williams, Chris Drake, and http://www.dynamicmusicpartners.com/ into a room.

2)Danny Elfman (and Shirley Walker, RIP.) for an adult, darker and updated version of this http://youtu.be/9Vcd01EQVTI

3) Christopher Drake should be saved for a Justice League movie but http://youtu.be/KJdPNSqSYm4 and this http://youtu.be/DEePGSEzgq8 can be the theme.

4) A one timer Shawn K. Clement could do well. http://youtu.be/sCwQzQGmbLs

Anyone above is better than Zimmer/Nolan/Goyer Law & Order style Batman.

Here is the thing. Zimmer is paid the most for a reason. If you hire someone else yes, you'll get something different if you find zimmer genetic, but no one has the potential of greatness like zimmer does. No one. No one could create a score as beautiful as flight or if you love these people or superman saving lois.

Super Hans should hopefully comeback. Generic or not i loved his superman score and he is arguably the best in the business.

Hans Zimmer is great but if he doesn't want to comeback there's other quality composers out there who could do a great job and it would be something different.

Even if Zimmer doesn't return, I hope the next composer adapts/keeps some of his themes; like the Clark Kent one and the main theme.

I would personally be overjoyed if they got Trent Reznor to do Batman's music for this film, and let Zimmer handle Supes.

He's already proven himself as far as film music goes with his and Atticus Ross' score in The Social Network, and in general he would be a great choice for a darker, heavier epic backdrop to Batman's onscreen moments.

hmm that could be interesting someone composing scores for Supes while the other one does it for Batman. Would be difficult to combine the two though and hit that sweet spot.

I want the music for Batman to be otherworldly. I really want Howard Shore to score a superhero movie sometime.

Keep Zimmer for the Superman stuff and bring someone new for Batman and Wonder Woman.

Zimmer said he wouldn't be involved and I hope it's true. He was great for Batman, but they need someone with a different style for Superman. More whimsical and with more heart. I wish Marvel didn't sign away Alan Silvestri. I love his work.

They actually used this music during the unaired pilot of Smallville and its so Superman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrqWF2GmXE4

Is that supposed to be an insult? If Shirley Walker was still alive I would include her into my list. I just want the original iconic scores for the first match up rather then the dry Germanic drama scores for the past ten years.
