I actually did that one in After Effects.
Gives new meaning to 'breaking wind'.
Holy damn that looks great! Gives a great sense of wonder and looks both powerful and swift. Go WETA!!
I didn't like the flying in SR at all.
And that's still probably an earlier/rougher version of what they'll actually end up with...and it still trounce's Sony's best.
Any chance on a new "S" shield with "2013" over it...
but 50 x 50?
This 300 posts until an avatar thing kinda blows... Especially with all the stuff you guys created! Props to all involved.
I forgot about that, i have a long way to go I think...bummer
I would love to have a Russell Crowe/Jor-El gif one day......
when a "official" trailer with him in it is released I'll be more than happy to make one lol
Sadly, the powers that be did not want to use the "GREAT" Comic Con trailer. I for one was very disappointed.....
true true, hopefully give the demand for it, WB will officially release the Comic-Con footage, I've never seen so many ppl asking them for something on there facebook page lol
I see what you did there.
That actually looks like a real person flying.
Sigh. Why can't we use stuff from the SDCC one? I've made this awesome little GIF of the fortress/cape/sun on his face scene and want to share.
PFFT.......Please, this totally looks more like a real person flying.
Part of the rules you, and everyone else, agreed to when joining the Hype:
I totally agree. But I just you argue that it was 7 years ago...
Naay... Ironman was only two years later and it looked way better than SR. But I'll say that this flying scene looks the best I've seen thus far and its not even a close up. Those and the action flying are the ones I'm looking forward to seeing how weta shows off.
I think some credit should go to Snyder as well, as he is a visual director and knows exactly what will look good, I mean the effects in SR were not really bad, it too had a similar shot where Superman breaks the sound barrier, but they were not amazing but good.
Wow I should have edited that post. lol I just didn't get any thrill out of a single flying scene in that movie. It all felt very fake. I wanted to give them the benifet of the doubt but then I remembered Iron Man and couldn't give it to them. When we got the HD trailer of MOS and I saw that last scene... instant thrill. I recalled this flight you're showing but I rembered not liking it. It looks like a good video game. I didn't like the angles they used when showing is flight or how fast he was always zipping through the shot. Then when it was slowed down it looked horrible. They tried though and I'm happy for it because where SR came up short it gave the new team something to look at for what not to do or improve.
It still pisses me off that they used CG for those shots.
Could some artist make for me an avatar of drifter Clark?
Well, it's easier to make inorganic objects look real in CGI than organic, even more so a human. Still, SR goofed up in that department with their choices.
That might work to their advantage. Close-up shots could still come off less credible. SR really goofed up in that department making it CGI.
Imagine how Routh felt.. Poor bugger was strung up in a flying harness for hours on end and then got to see all his hardwork thrown on the floor in favor of some £00.50 CGI crap.
btw awesome gifs folks (way to keep it on topic Adenjo.. Bravo)
Anyone with a Droid know if this would work as a living wallpaper?
