Use this thread to discuss anything pre and post Man Of Steel @ Comic Con.
Warner Bros. Pictures will once again have a major presence at this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, including appearances by fan-favorite stars and filmmakers from some of the Studio’s most anticipated films. Comic-Con attendees will also be treated to never-before-seen footage, including some that will be shown nowhere else. Talent from the films will also be on hand to answer questions, sign autographs, and more.

The presentation also includes the DC Comics superhero who, inarguably, started it all. Superman will be back on the big screen next Summer in the much-anticipated action adventure “Man of Steel.” Filmmaker Zack Snyder, the director behind “300” and “Watchmen,” will be at Comic-Con and will take questions from the audience about the making of “Man of Steel,” which opens on June 14, 2013.

What is that shot of Clark appearing to be buried by something and reaching his hand out? Has that been mentioned in a description, because I can't tell what that is.

I remember reading on how some said that it was skulls.

That's him reaching out from the skulls/skeletons. Some descriptions have mentioned it.

He sounded a little like Routh. It's not like that is a bad thing

One thing that bugs me is I wonder why Snyder and Cavill wouldn't confirm if Michael is Zod when every out source outlet and others involved with the film have said that he's Zod..

I do have to say, I loved the music in the trailer

I haven't seen the footage myself, but the reports that it's not typical "Zach Snyder" have me very intrigued.

Oh ok, thanks. I must've missed that part in the descriptions. That's....intriguing. Dream sequence?

Probably, my guess is that it's either a haunting vision of Krypton's fate or what awaits for Earth if Superman isn't victorious over his own battles...or maybe it just symbolizes on how due to him being super powerful, Superman will outlive everyone else and thus eventually end up alone.

that's what I would imagine with the skulls...he's dreaming

It has Nolan's fingerprints all over it.
Honestly, I think it has both Snyder AND Nolan's fingerprints all over it. It very much feels like a combination of the two, imo.

Oooh, I hadn't thought of that possibility. That would certainly fit into the "alienation" theme they're going for.

One of my favorite parts of the trailer was kid Clark playing with the red cape on and then doing the classic hands to the side Superman pose.
