During Sunday's NFC Championship game, a man and his brother argued over who could drink the last can of Pepsi. One thing led to another, and one brother repeatedly stabbed the other and struck him in the head with a metal pipe.
Michael Charles of Jersey City fled after stabbing and beating his 50-year-old brother, leaving behind a crime scene "covered in blood," according to police.
The 50-year-old brother, whose name was not released, told police that he and his brother had been drinking for several hours and both were upset because the San Francisco 49ers were losing. When the 50-year-old asked his brother not to take the last can of Pepsi, his brother reportedly told him to "go **** himself." Then he attacked.
From The Jersey Journal:
The brother stabbed him several times in the chest with a small knife, officers said. The man told police he grabbed a knife and fought back, stabbing his brother in the arm.
The man's brother fled and police searched the area, but could not find him, police said.
The victim became belligerent and refused a temporary restraining order against his brother, officers said. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and sent to the Jersey City Medical Center.
Watching the game with the two violent, Pepsi-loving brothers? Their elderly mother. Sounds like a fun family.

It's a Jersey thing

Definitely not Coke people.

He got stabbed and smashed in the head with a pipe and lived? This man deserves a Coke.

I'll see myself out............

Filthy motherf***ers. They should have went to a place that sold Coke products. Fools.

It wasn't even Wild Cherry Pepsi....if it was a Wild Cherry Pepsi...maybe I'd understand.

I like Coke and Pepsi. I grew up mostly drinking Pepsi but I prefer Coke over it usually. And I prefer Mountain Dew and Doctor Pepper over both of them, although I've avoided mixing them together so far.

I actually really enjoy Ginger Ale over all other soda. Canada Dry too! None of that Shweppes bullsh**

So many have fallen to diabetes.......when will the world learn! It's not worth the horror!

If I drink soda these days it's usually Coke zero. Although if I could get my hand on a bottle of that first recipe I'd be all about trying one haha

I may have to go buy some too. Though I'm resisting the urge. I go on bouts of "no more soda" diets and occasionally make them last a few months. Trying that right now with mixed success.

I get caffeine withdrawal when I do so and it sucks. I don't drink coffee either (at all, unlike soda).

I want a Wild Cherry Pepsi now.

Do it

I actually never really drink soda anymore. For the past 3 years I cut it almost completely out of my life. A whiskey and Ginger is usually when I have a soda, but I usually drink my Whiskey on the rocks.

Soda now is more of a treat than an everyday thing.

I wouldn't have gone through any of the trouble over a Coke or Pepsi. I drink Sprite & I've got to obey my thirst. :o

For a coke this would be reasonable...but for a pepsi its just senseless.

So they released the name of one brother but are withholding the name of the other? I don't see how that makes much sense.

There used to be several brothers but they decided early on in the family that only the string would survive.

This is outrageous. Pepsi sucks. Coke all the way.

Coke is so overrated.

I love that New Zealand brand, Phoenix Cola. It's supposedly organic (or as organic as cola can be). I would never kill someone for a Pepsi... but on hot days, I might punch someone in the face for a Phoenix cola. :o

I mixed Dr.Pepper and Mountain Dew once, and it tasted like Code Red Mountain Dew.O_o

Its rating is that it's easier to get Coke than clean drinking water in some countries. But it's really not that great compared to other soft-drinks or even other colas.
