Man suing Dell after he breaks his computer looking for "cookies"

The **** was his name, Cookie Monster?

"Me buy computer, screen say cookies inside..I look, no cookies. So me eat computer, OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM!"

LOL :lmao:

Next time when his computer got a virus, I'm sure he'll be calling 911 to have the paramedics take his computer away. :funny:

“I want to be clear here, my client did not break open his computer looking for cookies because he was hungry. He was under the impression that somehow baked goods had been placed inside his machine and wanted to rectify the situation. It was not explained to him in any way that a cookie was something other than a small piece of text and he did not want permanent damage to his brand new and very expensive machine.”

I laughed so hard I cried.

So that man didn't want "permanent damage to his brand new and very expensive machine", so he decided to take it apart piece by piece? I'm sure Dell's lawyers will have a field day with this case, unless the judge threw it out beforehand.

Life is becoming a cartoon. It really is.

I can understand a lot of people not knowing the tech terms or what all goes on in their own computers. If they did, I'd be out of a job, but if you are so god damn stupid to actually think that there is a baked cookie in your computer, then you don't deserve to have computer.
I don't understand why he is suing Dell. They did not create the term cookies, RAM, BUS, Serial (cereal) and all the other tech terms.
I see this getting laughed out of court.

The judge is just gonna be like are you f'ing serious? Get the f out of my court, before i throw your DumbA** in jail!

"Your Honor, I want justice!!"

judge - "Congrats... want a cookie?"

The cookies story and the Wii story just show you how the world is actually going to hell, from all the dumbness of the people of the world.

The world is as ******ed now as it was in the caveman days. I believe there hasn't been in an increase or decrease in stupidity, it's just that with the internet and other instant access media, we can spread the news of someones stupidity all over the world instead of it being an isolated incident.

Too bad he didn't find this:

The thing case is simple. All hardware EULAs advise customers to not take any action at all without consulting technical support. The customer failed to follow that direction. Add to this the fact that he is completely ******ed means that the judge will throw this case out.

I assume this is fake, but if it isn't.....

I couldn't agree more. Dell didn't make these terms, so he can't even sue them for this. This is really one of the things I have such a problem with in this country. These completely moronic court cases where the person should simply be slapped in the face for even trying to sue because of it. We do not take responsibility for our own stupidity. On top of that, you have an attorney who is representing this waste of humanity, trying to rationally explain his motives, and asking for 5 Million dollars? 5 Mil!? For what exactly?? The attorney should be slapped, too.

When I was little we used to sled down our hill in front of our house. We'd accidentally run into parked cars, trees, telephone poles, what have you. But we would never jump up and decide to sue our neighbor's for parking their car on the street or the city for the pole being there (someone actually tried to do that this past winter here). What ever happened to just being stupid!? Oops, that was dumb of me...my fault. WTF [/rant]

He's not dumb..... he's technologically Retarted.

I call fake. Especially if those pics are supposed to be of the "Brand new and very expnesive Dell". It's old, and it's not even a Dell.

I hope his next computer DOES have cookies in it. Just to eff with his mind.

i bet he opened it after seeing that his cookies was enabled

This has to be fake, no one can be that stupid to think a PC has real cookies inside

You'd be surprised how many people out there are technologically ignorant

those pictures are just pictures of destroyed computers they are not of this guys computer.

if he wins there is going to be a note on ever computer. "Note their are no cookies in this computer"

Well, that's a relief.
Umm hmm.

Sometimes, I wonder if people do stupid **** just to see if they can get mentioned in the local paper or news.

someone should kick that guy's ass.

See it's my belief that the court system should appoint a position where if someone walks in with a stupid case like this, they would walk to that person and get hit in the head with a ball peen hammer.
