Charles Soule signed an exclusive contract with Marvel so that could explain them seeing it as a good time to put a lid on Swamp Thing and Red Lanterns. Same with Justin Jordan wrapping up what he wanted to say with New Guardians.

I remember when Flash was cancelled because it sold "only" 70K copies a month.

Nowadays publishers will kill for numbers like that.

Shame for Batwoman. I think she's the only LGBT character to have her own monthly series (superhero books that is). I suppose it's better having no Batwoman than having Andreyko's poor run for months.

Oh well, hopefully we'll get a post-Convergence relaunch with a new creative team à la Batgirl and Supergirl.

With Swamp Thing being cancelled, there goes the last DC book I'm reading. Gotham By Midnight was cool, and I'll give it a second issue, but no guarantees there.

Swamp Thing getting cancelled was a possibility from about mid-way through Soule's run. Once he signed the exclusive to Marvel, that was pretty much it. I can't say I'm too upset, though. I haven't been really enjoying his run of the book lately. Started off solid, but it kind of lost it's steam for me. It feels too much like a superhero book with schlocky superhero-ized horror, and while Jesus Saiz is a good artist, his work really lacks atmosphere and mood and Soule's writing doesn't really allow for it anyway.

But given that there's a Swamp Thing convergence mini coming out in April and May, I suspect there will be a rebooted title. Give it to China Mieville and an artist who can evoke mood and atmosphere and horror.

I hope DC is relaunching some version of Green Lantern Corps. With the current GLC, RL, and NG titles ending, that will leave Kyle, John, and Guy without homes. I can't imagine DC trying to cram them all into GL and/or Sinestro.

My brother wont like it that they cancel Red Lanterns, hes a big fan.
Arkham Manor was interesting, the first two issues had potential.
Batwoman was somehow forgettable, there was nothing that really stuck in your head.

And they'll gain new ones. Maybe even give the chance to writers who have never done comics before like Genevieve Valentine on Catwoman and Kate Perkins on Supergirl.

i really hope they stop letting tv show writers get into the books. They never do a good job, never, ever. marvel too, i dont like it, and i will never support cm punk writing thor, never.

All of the Green Lantern books are not in cancellation territory. It seems like there is a massive creative change going on in the titles that is resulting in them being cancelled and getting replaced by new titles.

I love Batwoman, such a great character and as someone mentioned she is the only monthly LGBT DC character right now. Admittingly I have not read anything past Vol. 4 and I am not surprised if it does bomb afterwards but still....
I hope DC comes crawling back to the original team to get Batwoman back on her feet.
