Robert Englund seems fairly confident that his wish to team alter-ego Freddy Krueger up with Michael Myers – the masked maniac of “Halloween” – is going to come true.

Englund tells MTV that John Carpenter, director of “Halloween”, is in talks with New Line to work out a way to do the oft-rumoured “Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Michael”.

Englund has been keen to bring Myers into the mix for a couple of years now - at one stage even suggesting "Halloween" heroine, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), be reincarnated (she was killed off in "Halloween Resurrection") for one more bout with her regular adversary, Michael, as well as the two new rogues.

I find it hard to believe the movie could co-exist with the upcoming “Halloween” remake – unless they planned on using Rob Zombie’s version of ‘Michael Myers’, which – indicated by the fact that Carpenter is the one in talks – they’re not.

Englund also tells the site that John McNaughton is still attached to direct the “Elm Street” prequel - though there’s no word on when or whether that will happen.

Thoughts everyone? Yes or No?

Freddy vs Jason vs Ash = YES

Freddy vs Jason vs Michael = NO

Englund is confident on alot of ideas that never happen.

They're 3 of the greatest characters ever and I've loved them with a passion for years, but I don't think Jason and Michael (two slow mutes) work well in a crossover.

...Jason and Michael would just seem like Freddy taking on the special olympics.

I Vote for ASH! Who else is with me!?

As much as i would love it, you will never see Ash in a versus film

What about Bruce's new film called "My name is Bruce."

 and? its not a versus film  Its just a village who thinks he is Ash.... I never said you wouldnt see Ash on screen again.

It'd be absolutely spectacular if that turns out to be true, but I doubt it. With Dimension still clinging onto the Halloween franchise and the arrival of the Zombie remake of the first movie in October, I say it's a far-fetched idea. It could still happen, if the remake bombs at the box office and Dimension lets New Line buy the rights to the franchise.

Still speculation as far as I'm concerned. If it happens, I'm going to be one happy fanboy.

I am glad for some new (FINALLY!) on a sequel to Freddy vs. Jason. They better get a way better director, and that's about it. I do wish that the original plan did happen with Freddy and Jason end with them fighting in Hell, only to see Pinhead interrupt them and say "Now why are we fighting?" (Waits for Tzarinna)

Also, Ash WILL NOT and NEVER WILL be in a versus film with Freddy and Jason. Sam Raimi made this clear that it will never happen, and it should remain that way.

Was that the Alternate Ending on the DVD?

Ash would be so much better. They could make the book of the dead resurrect Jason who is in a nearby grave in the woods of the cabin Ash is in.Then you have Ash become demon Ash so they could fight equally.

Then in the movie you could have them both turn back to human.

i'd like to see Freddy vs Jason vs Michael vs Leatherface vs Ash vs Carrie vs Exorcist vs Poltergiest vs Phantasm vs Hellraiser vs Pumpkinhead vs Frankenstein vs Dracula vs Werewolf vs Blob

that'd be the ish

Was that the Alternate Ending on the DVD?

Nope, but it was planned.
Alternate Ending on the DVD was Freddy winning, with the typical Elm Street ending.

Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash would be awesome but Sam Raimi said no. With both F13 and Halloween getting remakes, I'd take this with a grain of salt.

^
How come they didn't make a sequel to it right away.
I don't know i guess stuff got held up in what they wanted in the script and it never picked up, and theres been rumours every so often about the sequel.
