One time, at band camp...

I hated marching band. I thought I had to do it, and it meant waking up early and getting to school at 6:50 so you could practice marching in freezing weather until spit leaks from your valves and freezes on your hands. Besides, flag girls are able to do so much more.

I was never in Marching band myself but two of my sisters were.They both got to travel to Orlando for some National competitions and visited Disney World. I've never been there myself. Maybe I should have joined Marching Band after all, but I'd most likely have been relegated to collecting the flags for the honor guard.

haha, my high school and college bands have practice at night. High school was a lot more serious with competing. It's big in NYS.

Yeah, we went to orlando to to compete in the... orange bowl? I'm not sure if I remember correctly. Then we got to parade in disneyworld.

Do you play an instrument? I ebt marching and playing clarinet or sax is the easiest. Your arms get tired faster when playing the flute (though I'm surethe french horn is the worst.

I was in it in high school. It was OK. We were one of those wanna-be DCI high school bands, which is lame, but our music was fun. We did get to play in Disney World my senior year, and that was cool.

I didn't like it nearly as much as concert or jazz band, though.
