History Meets Fantasy In "Marco Polo 3D"

By Garth Franklin Friday April 18th 2014 12:32PM
Paramount Pictures and China Film Co Ltd are teaming for a big-budget 3D fantasy action film based on the life of explorer Marco Polo.
The adaptation will be based on the famed 13th century explorer's life but will swap out the traditional biographical elements for a fantasy action movie.
An "experienced action adventure director from the U.S." is expected to helm the film which will feature a top-tier cast from the U.S. and China. Shooting is planned to begin in October.

Aw darn, I thought this would be an hour of us avoiding 3D hands while we watch people swim in first person. We'd even get a little horror when we have to close our eyes.
