My guess is after DOFP hits and does a soft reboot Fox will have the opportunity to do more spin-offs within the x-Men adn Fantastic Four universes. Here are my guesses

1. X-Force (confirmed) The roster is Cable, Domino, Colossus, Psylocke and Deadpool.
2. Fantastic Four (confirmed) The roster is (obviously) Reed Richards, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing
3. Wolverine 3 (confirmed)
4. Deadpool (confirmed)
5. Uncanny X-Men (because Xavier's school is too important to leave behind) The roster will probably be Shadowcat, Wolverine, Beast, Rogue, Iceman, Nightcrawler and Storm
6. X-Factor (this one should be an obvious choice) My roster would be Cyclops, Phoenix, Siryn, Multiple Man, Rictor, Angel, Gambit and Forge.
7. Silver Surfer (The last property that's really needed)

After those five, there a few less essential properties that would be cool to see but aren't needed. I'd say that they're
8. Captain Britain (would eventually become Excalibur)
9. Alpha Flight (Not needed but it would be cool) I'd have the roster be Guardian, Vindicator, Northstar, Box, Shaman and Puck. I'd eventually go with Saquatch, Aurora, Snowbird and Marrina if the first does well.
10. Crossovers! One with Apocalypse as an amalgamation of multiple stories starring him along with another with Galactus in the same type of story. That plus Secret Wars, Secret Invasion and Days of Future Present are all possibilities.

New Mutants/Generation X I feel should only be made if Fox also has the rights to a live action TV show. It's mostly a high school drama but with superpowers and that type of property always does better when it's on television since it's too much story with too many characters for one film. Don't get me wrong, I like Jubilee, Chamber, Surge and Magik but they need to be done the right way.

Does anyone know of other properties that Fox could do?

no way I see Fox and Singer puting Cyclops, Jean and Gambit in a different movie than Wolverine, Storm, Rogue and co.

The whole team is the big deal, so if they do more movies set in present time, we can be sure that Singer will use them all or most of them, instead of two different movies with smaller teams.

Secret Invasion will not be adapted fully, as Marvel Studios has the rights to the Skrulls, if I recall correctly (and Fox Super Skrull.)

Um, one problem. Bryan Singer mentioned not wanting to use Gambit because he's too similar to Wolverine in terms of personality. Also, just based on how they were treated in previous films, the best thing that can be done for Cyclops and Phoenix is to keep them far away from Logan. When the three of them are together, then Wolverine steals Cyclops spotlight, makes him look like a crappy leader and Cyclops takes Logan's GF which just makes him look like a jerk. Meanwhile Jean is less a character than a piece of meat to fight over. Both are far more interesting on their own team.

I'd rather see Uncanny be led by Storm with Wolverine as the POV character and then X-Factor where Cyclops is allowed to be fleshed out. This is how it worked in the 80s and then as the 90s went on, there were the Blue and Gold teams along with a different form of X-Factor and X-Force. Right now, there's currently the Wolverine and Storm team in Amazing and then Cyclops off in Uncanny while Cable gets X-Force and Gambit gets X-Factor. There are way, way, way too many characters in the X-Men universe to cram them all into every single film. You need a crossover like DOFP where audiences are familiar with the characters to do something like that. If it can't be done over a 12 issue arc in comics, why can it be done in a two hour film?

Wrong. Both can use Skrulls but only Fox can use Super Skrull.

I don't think Fox can make 5-10 franchises, well they could but I don't think they are very open for that idea, because if they are, it should have happened 10 years ago or at least now.

X-Men
First Class
X-Force
Deadpool
Wolverine
Gambit
New Mutants/Generation X
X-Factor
Fantastic Four
Silver Surfer

Would be surprised if Fox moved forward with anything else other then these. Cable probably was being considered as a solo until Wadlow told them to do a team X-Force instead.

So now people take what Mark Millar says seriously? Before they didn't.

when Fox Is seriously limited to how much they can promate the films what makes people
think they will make film based on every X-Men related title In history.

You would think people would want Cyclops In X-Men sequels instead of X-factor.

I don't think anyone in this thread said that about him. X-Force moving forward may have convinced a few. That came directly through Millar and Wadlow.

About a Gambit movie, I find it questionable that people thinks Fox would release a Gambit solo movie. I know he's a big fan favorite, but a solo movie? Cyclops and Storm didn't get theirs yet but Gambit would get one. I think the anticipation for more Gambit, would just lead to Fox including him again in one of the X-Men movies.

Gambit was being discussed as was Kitty Pryde. A Cyclops movie will more then likely just be an X-Men film or First Class 2 with him as focus (hopefully).

You can do something different away from the X-Men while focusing on the thieves guild with Gambit. While I don't see it happening for awhile if at all, I'm sure it's been discussed quite often around the studio. We know prior to Origins it was definitely in talks of some sort.

And like Kitty Pryde, its not going anywhere but just a discussion.

And its not that I'm very opposed about spin-offs, but 1 movie takes a lot of money, marketing, hiring the right crew to get it right. And its not like X-Men is the only property that Fox has. They have a lot of franchises, they have their own TV stations and a lot of companies. X-Men is not their only priority. Chances are, instead of making a $50 million movie for a X-Men Spin-off, Fox would spend their time/money making on another Alvin & the Chipmunks movie.

I would personally rather see Gambit in a FC film right now or a modern X-Men film. So Im not arguing against that.

Deadpool, Gambit and Wolverine all have enough material away from the X-Men that could work for solos. Those three are always the ones talked about having their own films and for good reasons. They don't need the X-Men. Cyclops imo does, same with Storm to a degree.

Also,Im not saying they should just make character solos for everyone. Or what should to be greenlit next. Just debating what has been discussed at Fox, and what their options are.

Well in an ideal world, all of them would be getting a solo film, there would be films for X-Factor, New Mutants, X-Force and the other successful comic-books. But fans have been suggesting this for years and even if Fox considered/talked about it, nothing is really set in stone.

I personally want a "X-Men Origins" series of films featuring Cyclops, Storm, Jean, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Rogue, Psylocke, Nightcrawler, Angel, Beast, Gambit, Colossus, for the other essential X-Men characters... just to flesh them out and give them their spotlight even if the story is very simple and there's not much action/power displays.

Of course. Thats why we are all discussing what their options are.

Solo films for certain characters are obviously more likely given past material and popularity. But even then we get rosters like FC. Which was a pretty weak lineup. So who knows what will come next....

Cyclops was never done justice in the movies, he's always been second fiddle to Wolverine. If they were to have him lead a X-Factor or X-Force (although unlikely with Cable) it would have a well-known fan favourite. Therefore they'll be more likely to do better at the box office and he can finally be portrayed as the badass leader he always has been and open up other avenues for him to come and lead the X-Men main films

the only reason Fox didnt do more spin-offs back in 2009 was because Origins had a huge negative reaction by fans and critics. But we all know they wanted spin-offs for Deadpool and Gambit. Thats why they were included, to introduce them as a lead up to their own movies, taking into account there was and is a demand of them.

But thankfully, time has passed and we live in a whoooole different era of comic book moviess, and ALL the studios know it, Warner knows it, Sony knows it, and Fox knows it too, and thats why they signed Mark Millar last year: to EXPAND the universe with different movies, instead of just two (team movie + Wolverine movies) and thats why X-Force is in development and we dont even know if Millar and Fox have something new in store too.

So.... even if some fans like it or not, after DOFP huge success, Fox WILL expand the universe with new stuff too.

So, we only have to wait and see for next year to get the official announcement of next new movie/s.

1. X-Force.
2. Wolverine 3.
3. Deadpool.
4. X-Factor.
5. Generation X/New Mutants.
6. Fantastic Four.
7. Silver Surfer.
8. X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover.
9. Excalibur.
10. Age of Apocalypse.

The film series are possibly:
-X-Men (not sure with which team, maybe they'll do both, each one with its oun film series)
-X-Force (confirmed)
-Fantastic Four
-Silver Surfer (this really needs to happen, the film has been in development since even before the FF films)
-Wolverine
-Deadpool

The X-Men Origins franchise is probably dead, i doubt Fox will try to make another one.

X-Men
First Class
X-Force
Wolverine
Fantastic Four

That's 5 pretty obvious choices already.

1. X-Men (event movies only)
2. Wolverine
3. Fantastic Four
4. X-Force
5. X-Factor Investigations
6. Alpha Flight
7. New Mutants
8. Excalibur
9. Starjammers
10. The Silver Surfer

I think they'll combine FF & X-Men if their smart. They can crossover in believeable ways

FF/Xmen can goto savage land... or mini secret invasion.. Magento/Doom team up would be insane.. Silver Surfer leafong to Galactus... FF can help against Vulcan (sell him as the third evil summers bro) Xmen: Deadly Genesis is a great title.. Not to mention Deadpool and Gambit and Cable or god forbid if they had the balls and vision to do a all girl X-Men film but take it seriously

don't forget Franklin Richards, he'd be a good way to tie franchises coming together.

1. X-Men (event movies only)

I don't see why this should be the case. Not every film that will feature the core X-Men team should be an event movie that will feature a cross-over from a spin-off. It would be very repetitive to the audience, event film+cross-over with another cast.

Fox could still do movies with the core X-Men team with a lower-scale like X2/X1/The Wolverine and still maintain box-office success.
