One of my favorite lines from Spiderman 2 is when Peter tells MJ, "I always imagined you getting married on a hill top."

This probably isn't the first time someone thought of it, but wouldn't it be great if the ending of Spiderman 3 actually had the wedding on a hill top? That's great writing right there; Foreshadowing the wedding on a hill top in the second film.

If this actually happens, just remember I called it :woot:

if that happens, just remember, you didn't call it...

sorry to sound like a jerk, but there are many other people on these boards (including myself) who have discussed this in threads that already exist

however, if it did happen, yes it would be good foreshadowing :)

Yeah, it should happen. This has been talked about a lot in the Kirsten Dunst/MJ thread.

Theres not many hilltops in new york...oh wait never mind, forgot about central park, that would be sweet.

Forget the wedding. She needs to either ditch Pete or they need to separate by the end of the 3rd one. No happy endings, gloom and doom all the way

How on Earth is that great writing? Its not even a favourable line. Imo spider-man shouldn't get married in sm3. Sure, preps should be made but things go wrong. Besides, between peter fighting off harry, sandman, venom and a funeral at the end, I cant see how or where the marriage could take place in this movie. I'm willing to bet that the funeral is a resulting contrast that occurs in place of the wedding.

I've also said a while back (actually in the thread discussing the possible ending), that I believe Peter and MJ will tie the knot on a hill-top in the end. But everything wont be pee-gee, cause just prior to that we will have been to Harry's funeral, then cutting directly over to the small intimite wedding on a hill-top. My guess is that only a few people will attend the wedding; Aunt May, MJ's mother (father?).

The events which will have acured in the film, will have brought Pete & MJ closer together then ever before. And like I said, number "3" propobly wont end as happy as can be (it'll be more sad then anything else). They've lost a friend. For Peter, Harry was a brother. They will get married knowing that no one will know what'll happen tomorrow, and they will not spend another day apart. That will be the "feel" they're going for with this whole thing.

Ps. I emagine the "feel" that the ending will have, will be similar to the ending of EPISODE II! Anakin & Padme gets married all alone. But everything isn't as great though. The Clone Wars has begone (and Ani has lost his hand hahaha!)

yeah, It won't be a very happy ending but it will be a nice wedding. It could be a sunset on a hilltop when they get married.

it's an empty line, nothing will be made of it in the next film....

I myself am not sure about this whole 'married on a hilltop' idea -- maybe at some point, yes, but I don't think it will be at the end of 3.

And as for the whole epp II comparrison naite, go easy mate, lets not cast that ugly shadow on what so far is a far superior franchise lol -- don't get me wrong, I love starwars, but the prequals were horrible and didn't have 5% of the emotional integrity of the Spidey films.
