I've sort of had enough of American animation. Which Marvel character would you like to see get the anime treatment?

I'ld pay good money to see a Runaways or Spiderman anime

Aren't Iron Man and Wolverine getting turned into Anime? Personally Iron Man gives me an eye-gasm.

Um some of the Marvel shows shown in the couple of year s have been done by anime studios not american. I think Evolution was done by a small time anime studio. Wolverine anime does not look and feel like wolverine at all. They screwed up his design completely.

I think It's been confirmed we are getting Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men, and Blade anime films in the near future. The trailers for IM and Wolverine are out now, both from GONZO I believe.

I could see a Spider-Man anime being awesome! A mix between Cowboy Bebop and Lupin the 3rd would be cool for that!

Definitely stuff like Iron Fist or Master of Kung Fu. My dad collected Master of Kung Fu comics, so I know he'd get a kick out of that.

I'm excited for the Blade anime. Anime already has a great history with Vampires and guys with swords. Throwing Blade in there to tear it up should be hugely entertaining. Imagine Afro Samurai versus gnarly blodsuckers from any number of Vampire anime and it should give you a taste of what we may be in for. Blade was the perfect choice for an anime adaptation.

I think a SHIELD movie could be cool, using the movie Sam Jackson version of Fury, maybe with him hunting down rogue super powered folk?

Daredevil could make an EXCELLENT anime! The gritty crime aspect, the law drama, and Daredevil in action, specifically the radar sense, would come across excellently in anime form!

Daredevil. Abbreviate and fuse The Man Without Fear with the "Death of Elektra" story arc, get Production I.G. to do it, and I'll buy it twice on Blu-Ray.

The problem with American animation has more to do with costs than quality. Even Japan has farmed out because it's grown more expensive over the decades. Americans can do it if only they would work for peanuts.

Runaways would be great as an anime... it really does have an anime-ish story. It's great.

I could see some of the others for the visuals, Blade for the tone certainly and Iron Fist for the utterly exceptional martial arts, but as far as an ensemble group that harkens to a typical anime ensemble, Runaways is it.

EDIT: Even Batman: TAS was done by Japanese animators, but the character designs were Timm's, which made it "American" - a wholly Japanese produced show is what I would be referring to.

Who can blame you, because anime isn't everywhere these days. What world are you living in? They made Spider-Man, Batman, The Avengers and Iron Man in anime. The list goes on.

Besides, it looks better when american artists do the job. Marvel characters aren't meant to be in anime style.

....maybe not all of em', but some can fit very well. As anime worked very well with Batman in Gotham Knight, in can work just as well with Moon Knight and Daredevil. A Punisher anime could work excellently just like a Golgo 13. And will say that while I'm not to keen so far on the Wolverine anime film, I am looking foreward to the Iron Man one. For Blade, that's very much a no-brainer.

Do we have any word on when any of the Marvel anime are coming out? I know we've seen the trailers for Wolverine and Iron Man, and they've said X-Men and Blade are following, but have they given us any dates for release?

I'm personally tired of Japanese animation myself. Actually, it's not so much the art style, though it is a factor, so much as the animé clichés. The idea of Marvel animé reminds me of all the failed attempts at Marvel manga: Spider-Man: The Manga, Marvel Magnaverse, Tsunami...

Whaaa? Since when did they do Spider-Man in anime? Or The Avengers? I thought i've seen all the shows and animated films for these two and I never once saw an anime. Are you sure you are not mistakening faux anime?
