Thank god, I thought it would be only those 6.

I think there will be a lot of Avengers still. Iron Man, Hulk and Thor will probably be there. Black Panther too.

Loki, Magneto, Rocket and maybe 1 or 2 "surprises".

Yeah, the 15 comes from the actual Direct announcer, but I imagine it is on the steam page as well. I think Adam Warlock seems likely, as well as at least one Guardian.

Given the cosmic nature of it, maybe Jean will be there.

If it's Logan, Storm, Magneto and Magik again I'll be a bit upset. I mean, there are other mutants, Marvel Games!

The X-Men are already represented there. I'm just getting annoyed with the same choices. Same for Venom.

And no FF representation in this cosmic game would be a bit of a surprise to me, but...

I like we have a nice varied list of characters. With these games there is always someone missing you wished was their from your personal favourites but there's plenty to choose from from the get go. If its successful they will no doubt add more with DLC.

Cant wait to try it out when its out though, looks like an old school arcade blast.

The only characters that I really wanted are Cyclops and Jean, who perfectly fit a cosmic adventure. The idea that they'll likely be DLCs infuriates me. I'd have to pay extra to play as them. Ugh...

Even as an X fan, I feel that a quarter of the roster is too much. And in a cosmic game, with the whole of the Marvel roster, I really don't think Cyke and Jean rank up there too much priority.

I'd rate them higher than Logan.

This game looks fun, sadly the roster doesn't sound too appealing for my personal taste. Carol, Phoenix, Cyclops, Reed, Wanda, Sue, Johnny are some of the characters I'd love to see.

But with Logan, Storm and Phyla Vell it looks unlikely to see Carol, Jean and Scott in the basic roster. Hopefully 2 FF (minus Thing) are the 2 remaining characters. For my taste.

This is a problem when there is such a large range of characters to pick from in this day and age from the entire Marvel roster, its going to be hard to get the character you want picked by any developer from just the X-Men when Logan and Storm seem like regular pics every time to represent them.

We really need more X-Men games full stop, another X-Men legends or X-Men arcade style like this would be perfect.

97 was not popular outside of the fanbase. The ratings show that. Definitely not as popular as the Fox movies.

Logan is easily, without question, the most popular mutant. He's going to be used when allowed.

Storm is one of the few truly prominent and popular black characters Marvel. She will always used when allowed.

Magento is a mount Rushmore villain. He will always be used when allowed.

So after that, you are talking about Cyclops having to contend with other white cis men in Marvel. And he's not Iron Man, Cap, Spidey, Thor, etc. It's the same for the other characters you named. Popularity matters.

This conversation is already changing to something else. Other X-Men characters have been portrayed in other Marvel games, but not for the last 20 years. And it's nice to take a break from the same over and over. That's me at least.

How many of those are mutants?

It's fine to want something else. My point is there is a reason it happens. Moreover, there is always exaggeration. it's not true there hasn't been other Mutants in games over the last 20 years. Ultimate Alliance trilogy, Midnight Suns, the Deadpool game, LEGO Marvel Superheroes, Marvel Heroes, and Marvel Rivals all have other mutants in them. This is before we get into the leaks that Insomniac are making an X-Men game.

I get frustration. But let's at least be honest about it.

I think you do a discredit to just how much damage writers have done to Cyclops over the years.
