Lots of good stuff is coming in tomorrow's patch! The New Operation Omega event, Nick Fury(Playable), Medusa(Team Up), big changes to the Infinity System, Crit Damage changes, lots of VU's to playables and a Clea(team up), lots of hero changes, a bunch of squashed bugs, and changes to story mode and other things.
These are posted on the Test Center, so when the TC forums go down you will not be able to view them.

NOTE: THESE PATCH NOTES ARE IN-PROGRESS AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE

OPERATION OMEGA EVENT

S.H.I.E.L.D. has been infiltrated by HYDRA! Agent Coulson, Nick Fury and Dum Dum Dugan have put OPERATION OMEGA in to effect, calling all heroes to help stop HYDRA!
Players will be able to choose a side as either an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. or HYDRA to gather intelligence, battle enemies of each faction and earn exclusive rewards and achievements! Will you support Operation OMEGA and ensure a future for S.H.I.E.L.D. or will you assist HYDRA and attempt to thwart it?
HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Talk to HYDRA Representative Baron Von Lind or S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Rose Solomon in Avengers Tower in order to select which side you want to fight for. Once you have selected a side, you are free to change your selection by talking to either representative at any time during the event.
After selecting your side, Intelligence Reports will drop off of bosses in the different Patrol Modes. Follow the instructions in the Intelligence Report to find a traitor to your faction and obtain faction specific rewards!
AGENT BONUSES

During the course of the event, Agents on both sides gain the following:

  • 50% experience boost!
  • 10 Omega Access Files for logging in each day
OTHER OMEGA-LEVEL FEATURES

Agent Coulson continues to offer a daily training mission during Operation Omega. Each day, you can complete five or more waves in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Holo-Sim to receive a reward from him. This will help hone your skills to be prepared for taking on the villainous HYDRA!
S.H.I.E.L.D OMEGA ACCESS FILES

Omega Access files can drop from Intelligence Report boss defeats, but can also be obtained in the following method:

  • 10 Omega Access Files just for logging in each day.
  • 30 Omega Access Files for completing Coulson’s training mission each day.
  • 60 Omega Access Files for completing the Shared Quests each day. (20 ea.)
This is potentially 700 Omega Access Files (this patch will be live for 7 days).
New Hero: Nick Fury

Nick Fury has joined the Hero roster of Marvel Heroes 2016!
Following in his father's footsteps, Nicholas Joseph Fury enlisted in the armed services during World War II and would ultimately command one of the Allied forces' most elite squads—the Howling Commandos. But as the war took its toll, an explosive injury would cause him to become immunized with the Infinity Formula to save his life.
As the compound slowed his aging over time, Fury was recruited by the CIA as one of their toughest and elusive field agents. This exceptional covert service led him to become the director of the new international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Harnessing Earth's mightiest heroes, Nick Fury's vigilante eye watches over the world to protect it from dangers both seen and unseen.
New Team-Up: Medusa

Medusa has joined the Team-Up Roster of Marvel Heroes 2016!
Growing up an Inhuman under the House of Agon, Medusalith Amaquelin's early infancy exposure to the Terrigen Mists granted her the power to psionically shape and manipulate her own genetically altered hair just as if they were her own limbs. Finding compassion in her mute second cousin, Blackagar Boltagon, the two's love would mature into a royal engagement.
As Queen of the Inhumans, she governs Atitlan as the voice of royal family. But as she commands with her staunch leadership and steadfast demeanor, she harnesses her uniquely adaptable Inhuman abilities to combat and defend her people those that would see her kingdom in ruins.
Infinity System Update

With this patch, we have updated the Infinity System to remove the “round robin” style of point allocation, allowing you to assign all of your Infinity points between the different Infinity Gems as you see fit. We’ve also introduced the Gem Mastery system which grants additional bonuses as you invest more points into each Gem to encourage investing your Infinity points into different Infinity Gems, while still giving you the option to focus on particular Gems if you prefer. Read on for the details!
'Round Robin' Removal

Regarding the Round Robin dispersal system for acquiring Infinity Points, it was our design intent that players should distribute their accrued Infinity points in a way that betters their hero in both offensive and defensive stats, to ensure they are well-equipped to deal with increasingly difficult end-game content.
Although the method we landed on (Round Robin) was effective at reaching that goal, it did so by enforcement rather than encouragement. We are forcing the diversity, rather than designing the system to highly encourage it and allow players to make those decisions on their own merit.
With the Infinity Update, Round Robin will removed, and players will be able to spend their entire Infinity Point collection wherever they wish.
In order to create that diversity incentive, we are instead installing a new system - Gem Mastery.
Gem Mastery

Gem Mastery is a system which provides your hero additional benefits in exchange for spending a certain amount of points in a specific Gem page. These bonuses occur at 50 points spent, at 100 points spent, and at 150 points spent - meaning players with 900 or more points can achieve all three tiers of mastery for all six gem pages should they choose to.
Here are the current Mastery bonuses for each Gem Page:
Mind

  • 50+ Points - When you Critically Hit, regenerate 0.5% of your Maximum Health
  • 100+ Points - Increase your Cost Reduction by 10%
  • 150+ Points - +1 to All Attributes
Power

  • 50+ Points - Your Ultimate Power has 20% higher Critical Hit Chance.
  • 100+ Points - Your Signature attack has a 10% higher Brutal Strike Chance and causes all enemies to become Weakened for 10 seconds.
  • 150+ Points - +1 to All Attributes
Reality

  • 50+ Points - When you use a Medkit, reduce the cooldown of your Ultimate by 3s (30s cooldown)
  • 100+ Points - When you use your Signature, reduce the cooldown of your Ultimate by 6s (60s cooldown)
  • 150+ Points - +1 to All Attributes
Soul

  • 50+ Points - When you fall below 30% Maximum Health, trigger your Medkit without activating its cooldown (60s Cooldown)
  • 100+ Points - Increases healing from your Medkit by 10%
  • 150+ Points - +1 to All Attributes
Space

  • 50+ Points - Your Medkit causes you to take 10% less damage for 5 seconds
  • 100+ Points - Increase Damage Reduction by 1%
  • 150+ Points - +1 to All Attributes
Time

  • 50+ Points - When you use a Medkit, your Dash Powers gain a charge
  • 100+ Points - Your Dash powers have 1 additional charge
  • 150+ Points - +1 to All Attributes
Gem Node Changes

In addition to the Mastery system and Round Robin removal, we have changed up some of our bonuses offered by the Gem nodes. One thing we were not satisfied with was the inclusion of "niche" build affixes that only affected certain builds. For example, a node that affected Damage to Unaware Targets could be included for a hero that could benefit from that, but for a hero that could not, they simply had one less node available to choose from. The keyword or build-specific nodes created a rift between heroes regarding how many Infinity nodes were useful for them, which was a problem when thinking of the world when players have 6,000+ Infinity Points and are taking the non-infinite nodes to their cap.

next up

With that in mind, we reworked some nodes with the goal of making the system more universally attractive for heroes. Some nodes will still only be particularly attractive for certain hero archetypes, but the number of them should be more universal from hero to hero. Each gem Page now contains a damage bonus effect that is based on a particular Attribute, up to a cap. For example, "Mind Gem Infusion" grants a damage bonus that scales with your Intelligence, up to X Intelligence (where X scales with ranks in the Gem node). This allows an additional damage scalar to apply to your Primary Attributes, and can even be used on non-Primaries to help them scale if you find yourself getting your non-Primary Attributes to very high levels.
The new Gem nodes are:
Mind

  • Intelligence
  • Chance on hit to deal damage based on your Intelligence
  • Critical Damage
  • Critical Hit Chance
  • Max Spirit
Power

  • Strength
  • Chance on hit to deal damage based on your Strength
  • Brutal Damage
  • Brutal Chance
  • Bonus Damage to Weakened
Reality

  • Energy
  • Chance on hit to deal damage based on your Energy
  • Ultimate Cooldown
  • Signature Damage
  • Potent Buff on Using Ultimate for 20s, increasing base damage and base health
Soul

  • Fighting
  • Chance on hit to deal damage based on your Fighting
  • Health Regeneration
  • Health On Hit
  • Incoming Healing Bonus %
Space

  • Durability
  • Chance on hit to deal damage based on your Durability
  • Maximum Health
  • Deflect Chance
  • Defense Rating Multiplier
Time

  • Speed
  • Chance on hit to deal damage based on your Speed
  • Dash Cooldown
  • Attack Speed & Movement Speed
  • Dodge Chance
Critical Damage Change

With this patch, percent-based Critical Damage bonuses will now apply to both Critical Hit and Brutal Strike damage. Previously, while flat Critical Damage Rating applied to both, percentage-based bonuses (such as Critical Damage bonuses in Hero Synergies) only increased the damage of Critical Hits and not Brutal Strikes.
As a result of this change, we've retuned the value of bonuses that previously only increased Critical Strike damage - such as Hero Synergy bonuses, Cybernetics bonuses, or the Hero Archetype offensive bonus - to keep them more in line with other stat bonuses.
Visual Updates

A number of Hero costumes have received brand new visual updates with this patch:

  • Black Panther Classic Costume
  • Captain America Marvel NOW! Costume
  • Captain Marvel Classic Costume
  • Colossus Marvel NOW! Costume
  • Cyclops 90's X-Men Costume
  • Iron Man Extremis Costume
  • Nova Prime Costume
  • Nova Sam Alexander ENHANCED Costume
  • Rocket Raccoon Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel NOW! Costume
  • Spider-Man Symbiote Costume
  • War Machine Initiative Costume
In addition, the Clea Team-Up has received a visual update as well!

Hero Changes

Colossus

  • Colossal Roar will now properly always Critically Hit when you have no Armor with the Impervious To Harm talent enabled
  • Ten Ton Punches tooltip has been updated to clarify how the Damage Bonus based on Armor mechanic works
  • Colossus’ power progression has been adjusted:
    • Call Kurt now unlocks at level 6
    • Titanic Slam now unlocks at level 8
    • Call Kitty now unlocks at level 12
    • Colossal Punch now unlocks at level 15
Daredevil

  • Heroic Leap can now leap over small obstacles
  • Fixed an issue where Nunchuck Beatdown would sometimes fail to generate a combo point with high Attack Speed bonuses
Iron Fist

  • Current Chi Stance and resource amount will now be retained when moving to and from hub areas.
Kitty Pryde

Shadowcat's update was focused around opening up her build options by way of leaning back on some of the talent-locking that was performed in the BUE, restoring some of her "layer" Sword powers back into the base power tree, allowing melee builds more options without forcing them to ignore Lockheed. We've also amplified Lockheed's talents to have more impact, so players who focus on him will be more rewarded.
Powers

  • Logan-Style and Phasing Samurai have returned to Kitty's default power tree.
  • Non-Corporeal Beatdown has been removed from the power tree - Martial Arts combo serves as her single target melee attack.
  • Quicksand is no longer a cooldown/max channel time power by default (this effect has been merged to a talent). The power now Weakens enemies.
  • Line of Fire has been simplified to cost 250 of Lockheed's Energy, always critically hits, and has a 4 second cooldown.
  • Lockheed's Energy trait has been edited to be more clear as to Lockheed's mechanics, and the resource mechanics
  • Heartbreaker - No longer has baked-in critical damage (base damage increased).
  • Logan-Style - No longer deals bonus damage to bleeding (base damage increased).
  • Phasing Samurai - Vulnerability has been removed, and its buff effect now applies to all melee powers. This helps make it more distinct in purpose over Watch your Step.
  • Soulsword (Ultimate) - Now features a buff which causes her to instantly defeat normal she passes through, and deals heavy damage to Elites and Bosses she passes through. The buff effect also now applies a flat 100% base damage bonus rather than scaling damage rating.
Talents
Kitty Pryde's talent locations have been swapped around to better support her various builds.

  • Tandem Strikes - All effects of this talent are doubled for 10 seconds when Kitty activates her Signature.
  • Flame Barrage - Now provides 100% attack speed, 50% critical chance, and causes Lockheed's attacks to spend 15 Energy. All effects of this talent are doubled for 10 seconds when Kitty activates her Signature.
  • Solo Training - No longer remaps Lockheed powers into Sword powers. Tooltip clarified to state the buff effect of Shadow & Flame now applies to all powers, and that the power still hits twice. A bug was fixed that was preventing the second hit from gaining damage based on Energy spent.
  • Brutal Heartbreaker - Now "Brutal Combat", which grants Logan-Style an Execute affix, and causes Heartbreaker to always critically hit.
  • Phased Insights - Now triggers on either Watch Your Step or Phasing Samurai, and stacks up to 2 times (once per power). The duration of the buff decreased to 5s to accommodate this stacking behavior.
  • Augmented Flames - Now "Dragonfire". Tooltip clarified to state that the damage listed is in addition to the single-target damage Lockheed's fireballs deal. The talent now also increases Spitballs damage by 15%. All effects of this talent are doubled for 10 seconds when Kitty activates her Signature.
  • Blade Rush - Now "Phase Rush". In addition to its other effects, this talent adds a charge to Walking Through Walls.
  • Sword Wielder - Increases Sword Damage and Critical Chance by 5%, and transforms Martial Arts Combo into Disciplined Strike, and Quicksand into Shadowcat's Pirouette, which does not alter them mechanically but adds the Sword keyword. The former Katana Slash is no longer used. Disciplined Strike now shares the affix of Martial Arts Combo (Energy Regeneration), and Shadowcat's Pirouette's radius has increased, but the power no longer bleeds. These are intended as artistic alterations to the powers they replace.
  • Augmented Flames - Clarified the tooltip and fixed several bugs with this talent that caused the area size effects to either not function, or not be visibly represented by the visuals of the respective powers. All effects of this talent are doubled for 10 seconds when Kitty activates her Signature.
  • Unseen Warrior and Phase Endurance - These two talents have been merged into one.
  • Heavy Impact (New) - This new talent allows Quicksand to become a max channel time/cooldown power with more damage, as well as increasing its area of effect and slow magnitude. If Sword Wielder is selected, Shadowcat's Pirouette will instead gain bonus damage, a cooldown, and 2 charges.
  • Constant Ambush - This talent now applies to Martial Arts Combo (or Disciplined Strike if Sword Wielder is chosen). Its passive effect has been changed to +5% Dodge Chance
  • Warrior of the Flock - Completely redesigned. Now removes the cost from Buddy System. Additionally, it causes Line of Fire to spend 500 Lockheed Energy, deal 125% more damage, and always delivers a Brutal Strike.
Luke Cage

HEROES FOR HIRE
The most significant series of changes to Luke Cage in this update is how his Heroes for Hire operate. We've had a lot of iterations to this system in the past, but none have really captured the feel of working together with a summoned partner. With the BUE, we allowed him to have up to two permanent summons, but that only increased his effectiveness - not his gameplay.
Hero for Hire has been changed to "Iron Fist" by default, similar to his original design. Activating the power calls in Iron Fist to fight alongside you, like it did before. However, activating the power again if Iron Fist is already active will trigger his Healing Chi ability, acting as an on-demand heal. Rocket players may recognize this mechanic from Groot - however, we wanted to take it even a step further. When Luke activates Dempsey Roll on a target, Iron Fist will dash from wherever he is to the target and activate his own Fury of Five Hundred Fists on that enemy, working in tandem with Luke's attack. Iron Fist also now uses his Dragon Slice ability, and will use Good Fortune Thunder Kick to engage enemies quickly. Overall, Iron Fist is a well-rounded companion who specializes in being the only healer.
What of the other Heroes you ask? Each of them have all undergone the same treatment as Iron Fist:
Misty Knight can now use a cryogenic blast from her bionic arm when activated to freeze enemies on-demand, and will follow up Cage Was Here with a Bionic Smash of her own. She can also now use a Concussive Blast in addition to her pistol shots. Of the Heroes, Misty excels at single-target damage.
Colleen Wing will now use a rapid AoE series of slashes similar to Deadpool's Cutting Room Floor on demand when needed (replacing her former rapid-series of dashes), and will follow up Cage's Elbow Drop (a new Finisher power) with a Sword Dive onto the target location. She also has gained a new quick area of effect Sword Slice she will use to clear multiple enemies, and will use her former dash to close the distance to far away enemies. Colleen is better than the other Heroes at dealing with multiple targets.
Lastly, Jessica Jones will now follow up Luke's Chunk O' Concrete with her own Urban Remodeling, also throwing a piece of terrain at enemies. When commanded, she will use Vehicular Assault at a targeted location for instant devastation. Jessica's unique ability to taunt enemies makes her the best choice for mitigating damage away from Luke.
These changes will make your choice of Hero feel much more like a co-operative companion, able to follow instructions as well as perform tag-team combo attacks with Luke Cage. With that in mind, we are altering his talents significantly to support these changes. The additional powers and combos offered by each Hero for Hire will let them stand out more on their own as a powerful choice, and we will no longer be summoning them passively via talent choices. Jessica Jones, Colleen Wing, and Misty Knight will replace Iron Fist via talent choices, as will the new Heroes' Call talent, which will summon all 4 Heroes for a short duration. Only one of these 4 can be chosen and each one exists in a different row, which is a non-standard setup for the talent system, but one we want to explore in Test Center.
POWERS

  • Quick Roll - This power has been removed from Luke Cage. It has always been an awkward one to use, and isn't particularly canon to Luke's fighting style.
  • Cage Fighting - This power has been split into two. We tried making the original Cage Fighting concept work, but ultimately a multi-hit power ends up never feeling smooth enough for someone who needs to rotate in powers at specific times. (see below).
  • Elbow Drop - A new move-to-target Finisher power, the former final hit of Cage Fighting. This serves as a way for Cage to become more mobile as he was missing a 'crashdown' or leap style power. Elbow Drop generates 2 combo points.
  • K.O - A new knockup Finisher, using the former 1st hit of Cage Fighting (a solid double-arm haymaker uppercut).
  • Crowbar Beatdown - Now has a 10% higher chance to critically hit, attack speed slightly increased. (Normalizing all combo point generators to 2 attacks per second).
  • Savage Beatdown - Has taken the name "Cage Fighting". Attack speed slightly increased. (Normalizing all combo point generators to 2 attacks per second).
  • Chain Lash - By default, this is removed from Luke's standard power tree - it now replaces Crowbar Beatdown with a chain-themed talent choice. Attack speed slightly increased. (Normalizing all combo point generators to 2 attacks per second).
  • Dempsey Roll - Now has a 12 second cooldown and deals massively higher damage. The animation of this power makes it relatively unresponsive to use, and these types of animations should be reserved for heavy hitting infrequent powers. This also positions Dempsey as an additional finisher that most rotations can use, instead of only choosing one finisher.
  • Cage Was Here - Attack speed increased.
  • Chunk O' Concrete - Now has a 6s cooldown and bonus damage baked-in. Cage is not a Ranged hero, and this power thematically was a weak point in his kit - ripping up terrain and hurling it should have a big payoff at all times.
  • Vehicular Manslaughter - Similar to Chunk O' Concrete, the cooldown of this power kept its damage in check with other similar powers, when it should be in a league of its own thematically. The cooldown is now 12 seconds and the base damage has been raised. Combo points are now always generated, not on-hit.
  • Sweet Christmas - Buff effects now apply in percentages rather than ratings, making the buff much more potent when dealing with highly geared heroes.
  • Cold Shoulder - Movement speed buff is now a part of a talent, now that Cage has access to Elbow Drop for in-combat repositioning.

TALENTS
Luke's talents have been rearranged to better support his builds and these changes.

  • Knockout Kick - Removed, as Quick Roll has been removed as power.
  • Iron Fist - Removed, as Iron Fist is now a base power for Luke Cage (replacing Heroes' Call).
  • Improvised Weapons - Removed, as Chunk o' Concrete now has bonus damage and a cooldown by default.
Row 1

  • Heavy Hitter - Now only adds a cooldown to Harlem Street Kick and the new Cage Fighting - the other Finishers keep their current cooldowns and still gain the damage bonus. This talent no longer causes a 'hidden' combo point system to still operate in the background, instead correctly turning off the system entirely.
  • Relentless - Now also causes Vehicular Manslaughter and Elbow Drop to double their combo point generation.
  • Follow-Through - Individual buff effects are now percentage-based rather than granting ratings. Vehicular Manslaughter now has its own buff effect if it is turned into a Finisher. Chunk o' Concrete buff effect changed to Critical Damage rather than affected Summons.
Row 2

  • Misty Knight - Replaces Iron Fist with Misty Knight (see Heroes for Hire section).
  • Business Is Good - Redesigned - now causes Luke to earn a "Job Well Done" buff when he defeats a Boss, lasting 2 minutes. Job Well Done grants bonus credit find, movement speed, base damage, and reduces his cooldowns by 20%.
  • NEW - Makeshift Weapon - Increases Chain Yank damage, gives it a cooldown, doubles its combo point generation, and changes Crowbar Beatdown to Chain Lash
Row 3

  • Jessica Jones - Replaces Iron Fist with Jessica Jones (see Heroes for Hire section).
  • The Defender - No changes.
  • NEW - Knockout Punch - Cage Fighting Critical Damage increased 30%. Dempsey Roll no longer spends combo points, now generates 1 combo point per punch landed and can be used at any time, and after using it, your next Finisher deals 200% increased damage. This positions Dempsey Roll as a potent Opener that augments and boosts up your next Finisher, adding 200% damage on top of the bonus from Combo Points.
Row 4

  • Colleen Wing - Replaces Iron Fist with Colleen Wing (see Heroes for Hire section).
  • Street Justice - No longer talks to Chain Yank (effect moved to Makeshift Weapon).
  • Lethal Fists - Cooldown of Cage Was Here increased to 12s, damage increased to +400%. In addition, it now makes Elbow Drop always critically hit. No longer buffs melee powers.
Row 5

  • Hero's Call - Replaces Iron Fist with Hero's Call (see Heroes for Hire section).
  • NEW - Take to the Streets - Cold Shoulder and Elbow Drop gain +1 charges, and after using either one, Cage gains a short duration movement speed buff.
  • Sweet Christmas! - Now resets Cage's own cooldowns.
  • Heavy Hitter will now display the cooldowns of Harlem Street Kick and K.O in their respective tooltips
Magik

  • Step To Me’s pull effect is now correctly irresistible with Stepping Disc Mastery Talent active.
  • Magik’s power progression has been adjusted:
    • Soul Brand now unlocks at level 6
    • Command N’astirh now unlocks at level 12
    • Dark Pact now unlocks at level 16
Nova

  • Fixes an issue where Personal Magneton and Cosmic Convergence would not act as detonating a pulsar in some cases
  • Fixed an issue where Unstable Accumulation wasn't granting a charge of Unstable Pulsar
Punisher

  • Rapid Reload will no longer lose if Damage Bonus effect if you use it while below 25% Ammo while the effect is active
  • Tactical Breach now clearly stated how it is meant to function
  • The Whole 9 Yards will now properly reduce the cooldown of Rapid Reload as described
  • The Nuclear Option will now correctly reduce the cooldown of The Davy Crockett by 5 seconds when you automatically reload Ammo with Light-Weight Magazine, instead of 10
Scarlet Witch

  • Chaos Blast will use the correct icon while wearing the Wiccan Costume with Total Chaos enabled
  • Fixed an issue where Chaos Blast was not gaining bonus damage when you used a Disruption Power while Total Chaos was enabled
  • Fixed an issue where Dark Hex’s Chaos Blast vulnerability would not trigger while Total Chaos was enabled
  • No More will now properly stop Damage Over Time powers from spending Chaos Energy for its duration
Thor

  • God Blast will no longer continue to regenerate OdinForce with Thor, King of Asgard selected.
  • Fixed various power tooltip typos.
Winter Soldier

  • Withering Fire's animation has been slowed down and damage slightly increased to compensate. This is to address an issue where the rapid-fire aspect would stop working at high attack speeds.
Wolverine

  • Deep Cuts will now properly interact with Hardened Outlook
X-23

  • Bloody Harvest will no longer follow the mouse cursor. You can still move by left-clicking. This is to address an issue players were having when using a controller.
Misc Changes & Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Bounty Hunter achievements could be completed by opening less than the required chest amount.
  • Fixed an issue where Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters Class Rings could grant the Professors Favor without both procs active.
  • Fixed an issue with Rings dropping with incorrect affixes.
  • Fixed an issue in which Intelligence over 100 did not increase base damage for Heroes who have Intelligence as a primary attribute.
  • Fixed an issue where Book of Eibon and Mental Focus Headband damage procs were incorrectly scaling with Hero stats.
  • Fixed an issue where ninjas spawned by the Ninja Death Caller were awarding S.H.I.E.L.D. Supply Points when they were defeated.
  • Reduced the damage of the Rank 5 Legendary procs for the Ultimate Nullifier and Golden Bow of Apollo.
  • Ultimate Upgrade Tokens no longer reference power points.
  • Correctly exchanged Demonspawn Cosmic Affix for Cosmic Might on older items that did not convert as intended with the previous patch (2.06).
  • Symbiotes have been removed from the church in Chapter 1. Players who have started but not completed "Cleaning Up The Kitchen" will have their progress reset for this mission.
  • The Loot Cache in the Chapter 5 Old Sewers Treasure Room now appears as intended.
  • Disabled minor/optional missions that were not part of the main story progression (Chapter 7):
    • March on the Marsh
    • Send the Bugs Packing
    • Spell-Caught Savages
    • Punish the Poachers
    • Savage Safari
    • The Great Bug Hunt
  • Converted the following side missions in Chapter 7 to event missions (with loot to match such missions):
    • Little Lost Jungle Lord
    • Prisoners of the Brood
  • Chapter 9 lore mission ("Asgardian Realm") is now available in the Lore Mission Log. Speak to Fandral in Odin's Palace to start this mission (Prerequisite mission: "Battle for Asgard").
  • Updated the Norway treasure room name from "Ancient Ruins" to "Underground Ruins".
  • Fixed an issue where S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents in Holo-Sim would begin moving before they finished their animation for rappelling down from the ceiling.
  • Fixed tutorial tip typo in Times Square tutorial when switching from Black Widow to Hulk.
  • Fixed an issue with the UI appearing during the Gorgon and Grim Reaper intro cutscenes in Chapter 3.
  • Fixed an issue where some hover tooltips were displaying their information twice (such as S.T.A.S.H. tab names).

Marvel Heroes adds Nick Fury to the cast and offers Medusa as a team-up option

April 2, 2017 11 comments

The 62nd playable hero has been added to the Marvel Heroes roster, and he is tired of these mother-[REDACTED] snakes on this mother-[REDACTED] plane. He's Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and patron saint of ignoring stupid decisions. You can play the cyclopean Samuel L. Jackson avatar with his first two costumes, one based more on the comic book jumpsuit-with-boots, the other one based on the more subdued look from the films.

Of course, if you really want to go the extra mile with making references to Jackson's most famed cinematic role (warning: cursing), you could team him up with Medusa. Granted, this version of Medusa is one of the Inhumans rather than an explicitly snake-haired monster, but why should that hold you back? Team them up, and then you can clear all sorts of content with a partner who will never get upset when you ask every single enemy you're killing if they speak English in What.Read more

Yawn. No carry over from PC means no play from me. I've done too much work and grinding to start over on that game.

same here. Missed opportunity on their part. I've put too much money into this to throw that away too

I just don't see how playing with a controller would be enjoyable at all. There's way too many things to manage. I doubt this will be a hit on console.

I play almost exclusively with a controller now. i use my mouse to pick up loot and manage inventory but actual gameplay feels good with a gamepad. Its been a thing for quite some time now. People do enjoy it and adapting these controls was vital to get a console port rolling

Maybe they can do what was done for the recent Diablo Ultimate Evil Expansion and allow for couch Co-op. I'll ask them to add that feature when ever they start that project.

I'm hoping to find a video of what he said at the MMORPG panel I think he at least left some "Teasers" there.

Since marvel .com sucks with time with dev's.

I guess if I ever play this on console, it's so I can finally play the game with my brother-in-law. I'd only get 1 character and focus on that one entirely.

Diablo III is great with a controller.

Unfortunately the way the game is designed you miss out on a big chunk of character gearing and all that by not leveling other characters.

Not really. It depends on what you want out of the game. He already has the game on PC so its not like he hasnt experienced all that. Outside of items tied to achievements, you dont really need to focus on multiple characters for gear. Even then a person is fine with the character specific gear that drops for them

Marvel Heroes is officially rebranded to Marvel Heroes Omega and in the spring of 2017 will have console launches for Playstation 4 as well Xbox One. All 3 will be called Marvel Heroes Omega and they will all be separate games and will not have cross platform support.
The console versions will be different than the PC version. The console versions on launch will have 38 heroes, chapters 1-9 story mode, MM, Danger Room, Legendary Missions, and Heroic, Superheroic and Cosmic

trials. The Q&A forums post is the link below.. I'll sticky this to the top of the group so it's easy to find.
There's 38 heroes shown in the trailer going up against Loki. Antman, Storm, Dr. Strange, Nova, Jean Grey, Deadpool, Psilocke, Iron Fist, Beast, Luke Cage, Iceman, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Shadowcat, Hawkeye, She Hulk, Blade, Black Widow, War Machine, Colossus, Rocket Raccoon, Captain America, Star Lord, Iron Man, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Captain Marvel, Angela, Cyclops, Daredevil, Spider Man, Gambit, Black Panther, Punisher, Moon Knight, Magik, and Squirrel Girl. While Gaz hasn't made an official public list I'd say this is a safe guess on who the 38 playable heroes are for consoles. Even if this is the case it could change, remember nothing is final till it goes live and Marvel Heroes on consoles doesn't being till Spring.

Will there be a closed beta? When will it begin?

  • The PlayStation 4 closed beta for Marvel Heroes Omega is scheduled to begin soon. Stay tuned for more details on our PlayStation 4 closed beta schedule.
How can I access the PS4 Closed Beta?

  • Players interested in joining the PlayStation 4 closed beta for Marvel Heroes Omega can select from a variety of Founder’s Packs for sale on the PlayStation Store to secure continued closed beta access -- and can be purchased online via the [official PlayStation Store website], through the PlayStation 4 console, or on the official Marvel Heroes Omega [website]. As an added bonus to everyone who takes the time to participate, all closed beta players, regardless of whether or not they purchased a Founder’s Pack, can look forward to receiving Daredevil, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, for free.
Will there be any bonuses for PlayStation Plus members?

  • PlayStation Plus members can also look forward to a variety of perks during the closed beta, including a free “Man Without Fear” costume for Daredevil, discounts on in-game currency purchases, and other limited-time exclusive access to select Heroes. We will have more news regarding Xbox Live members in the near future.
Will there be an Early Access program?

  • We have plans for a PlayStation 4 Early Access program, scheduled to begin on near the end of our closed beta. Founder’s Pack purchasers and closed beta participants who purchase Gs will have access to this Early Access window.
Will there be a character wipe for the closed beta?

  • We are currently planning for a player wipe near the end of our PlayStation 4 closed beta. Player progress will be reset along with any Eternity Splinter purchases, but any Gs purchased will be returned once Marvel Heroes Omega hits open beta.
What about the Xbox One closed beta?
* We also have plans for an Xbox One closed beta. Keep an eye on official Marvel Heroes Omega channels for more details and dates.
How many heroes will be available at launch?

  • 38 Heroes will be available at launch, including Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Storm, Deadpool, and more! Players can also collect hundreds of costumes and Heroes from their favorite Marvel Teams, including the X-Men, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and more. Iron Fist and War Machine will be exclusive to the Founder’s Pack for a 6-month period.

What modes will be available?

  • Chapters 1-9: Take the fight to Doctor Doom and the trickster god Loki in our fantastic nine-chapter story campaign.
  • Operations: In just a matter of minutes you and a group of friends can defeat super villains and foil their schemes.
  • Midtown Patrol: Defend Midtown Manhattan from the unrelenting onslaught of villains and their minions.
  • Danger Room: Enter the famous X-Men training simulator, featuring randomized missions, bosses, and hazards.
  • Legendary Missions: Once you’ve completed the story you have access to missions to acquire Legendary Marks of Odin which allows you to purchase Legendary Items.
  • Heroic, Superheroic and Cosmic trials: To get the best loot, you have to play on the harder difficulties. These trials make sure that you are truly ready to tackle those challenges.
Why will Marvel Heroes on Console launch with less content than what Marvel Heroes on PC has now?

  • By narrowing our focus and scope, the Marvel Heroes team can ensure the best possible experience on console at launch. Don’t worry, we plan regular additions and updates!
Will my progress/characters/anything transfer over to PlayStation 4 or Xbox One?

  • There are no plans for any transfers to be given from PC to Console.
What kind of support and content do you have planned for consoles?

  • We have a team dedicated to bringing content onto all platforms. Our first patch on the PlayStation 4 will focus on resolving any major bugs and taking in feedback. The major patch we have planned is first is to focus on the social aspect of our game. . We will more updates for you on our forums, website, and social media in the near future.
Will PC and console players be able to play together?

  • Due to the differences from our PC version to our console versions, the ability to play across platforms is not available.
When does Closed Beta begin for PS4? How do I gain access to the Closed Beta?

  • Players can expect a Marvel Heroes Omega closed beta program before the title officially enters open beta later this spring. Expect more news and details on official Marvel Heroes Omega channels.
Why is the PS4 release separate from the Xbox One release?

  • While we like to think big at Gazillion, the fact of the matter is that we are a comparably smaller studio. Staggering our releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will ensure we deliver the best possible experience for players on both platforms.
