Is this Vision and Scarlet Witch series meant to be a prequel?
We don't know. I would assume sequel but we have no concrete info.
Weren't there rumors about Quicksilver returning?
The Vision thing sounds great, though I don't know how you incorporate Wanda into that story
but I guess you can adapt it with her and their fake twins as opposed to Vision's fake family and still maintain the creepy stepford vibes
The Loki thing, I refuse to believe
they'd be crazy to try and recast that role and not use hiddleston
there ain't a single young actor on this planet that can pull off the nuance he gave Loki
What's this about recasting Hiddleston? Where does it say that?
the rumor is he may be just the narrator while the show would focus on a younger Loki
and I don't wike it
The fake twins is exactly what I think they'll be doing at some point. I also do believe the younger Loki thing (though I'm sure they'll have some flashforward scenes with Hiddleston in costume.)
I still firmly believe they'll do Young Avengers on Disney+, so with this we would have the actors for Stature and Kid Loki established and setup for Wiccan and Speed done. They can introduce Eli Bradley in the Bucky/Sam show and Kate Bishop in a Hawkeye show and then all we need is for Mar-Vell to have a half-Skrull baby.
I could definitely see that, though we have no word of a Hawkeye series yet
but again, I just don't see who you could possibly cast as young Loki who could do the character justice... granted I'm not a casting director, but that's a tall f**kin' order.
I see a Hawkeye series as a matter of time, as it makes a lot of sense and Renner has said that he'd want that a couple of years back.
An adaptation of King's story sounds to me like Wanda is going to be dead post Endgame, and it's about White Vision trying to live the life he remembers them wanting, and she only appears in flashback.
The only way the twins could come into being is via something like an illusion manifested by a character with strong connection to Wanda, I.e Chthon, as MCU Wanda isn't powerful enough to create even illusory life, and they will want to avoid the toxic "baby crazy" trope.
The fake twins story is extremely toxic, so full of John Byrne's "hysterical woman" misogyny that I doubt Jac Shaeffer will want to touch it without massively altering it.
I assume there's going to be some influence from that, but that's also not a Scarlet Witch story. If they mean it's about them raising a family, wouldn't Steve Englehart's run be more of an influence?
I think there might be two arcs. Vision's arc may well be based on Kings Vision, Wanda's could be drawn from Nights of Wundagore.
Remember, a major plot point in King's Vision series was Mount Wundagore and the Everbloom that grows there.
Another sidekick gets her own Disney+ series.
Hopefully it explains why she was absent in Ragnarok and Infinity War.
That's from a site with no sources. Not saying I wouldn't want one, though.
Meh on Lady Sif, always found her character.... overrated.
Marvel dropped the ball on Lady Sif; she could have been the WW before WW came out, but she got minimal screen time in the 2 Thor movies and didn't even show up in the 3rd. Hopefully a Disney+ series will finally fulfill her potential.
Everyone is getting a series except Luis
Im afraid they are gonna have too many of these marvel disney+ shows, to the point where it no longer feels special, or like an event that it should be.
I guess it will be fine as long as they handle all of them with care, hope they dont repeat mistakes netflix made.
Is Blindspot getting cancelled?
It already got canceled iirc
I'd love it if a Lady Sif show incorporated the stuff she did in Agents of SHIELD and brought back Lorelei.
I think I should start visiting this section of the board, seems like each day MCU is getting more and more exciting lol.
about this rumour... would be cool if the Sif show explored Warriors 3 and had even more asgardians to explore, that would jump to the movies some years later.
Season 4 was more than likely going to be the last. WB made the deals they needed with NBC to get a good number of episodes for syndication.
Kevin Feige: What's Agents of SHIELD, now?
He's paid lipservice to interconnectivity before (telling people they can find more about Nick Fury's Hellicarrier in Age of Ultron by watching Agents of SHIELD) and there was certainly coordination in approving or denying the use of things intended for the movies (mostly in not letting the TV side of things use characters but allowing the Kree to appear there first). But I agree he's never had to actively reference anything on the TV side of things before.
The ideal would be for them to use the same actress for Lorelei. That would be an even bigger deal than the movies referencing something from the TV shows, but I do think any concerns over confusion would be overblown.
