Marvel news coming 10/12/2008 at 12:00 PM

Out of those four, I'd prefer confirmation or substantiation on the Cap movie.

Imagine that. Spielberg signs on for Captain America for 2010 release. I'm leaning towards Namor.

How do you know this announcement has anything to do with a new Marvel Movie? By the looks of it, the announcement could just as easily be comic related. I think we could be assuming too much and be disappointed with just another creative team announcement regarding one of their titles. I hope I'm wrong though!

Did you not read my first post in it's entirety. Please...read it again.

X4?:ninja:
hey i can dream can't I?

I have a feeling this is gonna be S-M 4 related.

lol, this is the worse kind of speculation... bound to dissapoint people more then need be!
The laws of probability will deny your correctness!!!

Cap movie please.

Spielberg is busy making Tintin anyway. I'm ready for another less expensive but talented director.

he's making tintin... who needs that?

I'm hoping for Spider-Man 4 news, myself. If we don't start hearing news on the director and writer(s) soon, then the movie may miss its 2010 release.

Btw, the thread title is wrong. The date is 10/11, not 10/12.

It's not Spidey 4 because Marvel would NOT release that news...it's not their place. It's Sony's place to announce that. Marvel will NEVER announce a project licensed out before the rights holder does.

Its gotta be comics-related. Marvel.com is a bit slow about movie news and I'm pretty sure they get most of it from the same source we do. My guess? Something about Messiah Complex.

Marvel.com is run by Marvel. They are the source.

Well if it has to do with Ross, my guess is with the Cap movie and Spieburg has said he wanted to do Cap in the past.

You mean 10/12/07 not 08, right? I'm hoping for some news on Spidey 4.

If it's news on their next animated film, I hope it's Moon Knight or Morbius.

Next on is Teen Avengers & then Hulk Smash. I'd imagine a Thor one would be next.

No actually. Theres apparently very little communication between the comic book company part of marvel and the movie making part of marvel. Thats why Joe Quesada doesn't get a say when it comes to casting actors for lead roles.

As a result, marvel.com is a little slower in reporting movie news than say, Paramount was when they showed the Iron Man trailer, or superherohype is with just about every movie related comic book news.

Feige is the head of Marvel Studios that why Queseda doesn't get much say. He's not part of Marvel Studios at any high level. Marvel.com is about the entire company. You're probably right though about the site not being used as it should be and it could be comic book news. Just in case though. :)

How about some news pertaining to the DD rights FINALLY reverting back to Marvel??

How bout it??? HUH!?!?!??!?!?!? DAMMIT!!

That would be nice, he's too awesome a character to already have a dead franchise... Fracking MSJ and his hero ruining movies!
