To be fair... I'm testing Aveners Arena due to my love of Darkhawk. And I'm keeping it on a very short leash... especially after this first issue. It sorta ticked me off.

I don't because Loeb hasn't been able to put out anything good since his son's death.

This. Seriously, I feel for Loeb. He was one of the few modern writers that got Superman. Superman/Batman was fantastic...he wrote some of my favorite Smallville episodes; inclouding the Smallville introduction of Perry White and introducing the sun as the source of Clark's powers.

I couldn't ever imagine having any of my children die on me, and I would never wish someone to go through that.

But as was said, he's never moved on from that, and his ability of write was effected and he's been terrible at telling compelling stories ever since.

So I'm sorry if I hold no hope for this new Nova.

Bendis' last issue of New Avengers. It was Luke thinking back over his years as an Avenger as he, Jessica, and Squirrel Girl walk off into the sunset. Fantastic and fitting close to Bendis' New Avengers era.

I think you need to read more, better comics. That stuff is mediocre to the core.

Ah yeah, I remember those. The only thing I've liked of his was Iron Fist, and Brubaker co-wrote that.

I liked Immortal Iron Fist obviously and his Uncanny X-Men did have it's moments (not many, but some). I've not read it but I hear his The Order was good.

I don't think I've enjoyed anything by Fraction outside of Iron Fist, but his FF is great. Sometimes you just need the proper fit between writer and series.

I just read on the Marvel NOW! wikipedia page that the Hawkeye series will be joining Marvel NOW! with issue #6. I have searched the internet but have found almost nothing to support this claim. Has anyone else heard anything?

What would be the difference?
