Marvel Rivals

The PS4 still has a large user base, no? Makes sense for a multiplayer game like this to reach as many players as possible.
That would have made sense had it launched like that last year when the game first came out, no as we are heading into the final stretch of 2025. It doesnt have years left in it so it feels like a waste of resources releasing an online game for it that you theoretically will need to commit to for at least the next couple of years. Thats another platform they will need to develop and troubleshoot issues for. There have been alot of PS4 gams shutting down and most recent reports suggest that 2026 will be the end of PS4 support

According to GamesIndustry.biz, “many other operators of major online and live service titles” are looking into timelines to pull the plug on their support for the PS4. The outlet attributes this to two main reasons, one of which — as we all know by now — are technical limitations.

The other reason for publishers dropping PS4 support is the install base of the PS5, which has finally reached a desirable state after a start marred by the pandemic and stock shortages that lasted years. The slow rise in the current-gen install base is also widely blamed for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S not receiving many games that introduced wow factors like previous generations.

NetEase probably did their homework/math and believe they will have a good ROI with the PS4 port.

It's just more money for them especially if the costs put on the port are less than the potential revenue from the battle passes and MTX from PS4 players.

Colossus, finally a tank I might enjoy playing as.

Rogue would be a fun one too.

Gambit is at the top of my "most wanted" list.

I'll be very happy if the scrap Pete. What a waste of time that would be.

I want them to add Hope Summers! There isnt a mutant Synergist and I think her powerset would make her awesome for that and quite unique. She'd be able to heal and buff her team with the effect being greater on mutant members. Debuff the opponents. Her rotating team up abilities would grant her powers from different mutants, making her a pseudo-tank if she mimics Emma for example. Her primary attack would be her gun blasts

My Marvel Rivals Most Wanted...

Gambit
Mysterio
Super Skrull (tank)
Blue Marvel (tank)
Nightcrawler (healer)
Spiral (healer)
Bishop (healer)

Cant wait for my man to arrive in this, this week, going to be a while before you get to use him in an actual match mind, lol.

It's still averaging about 100k CCU on Steam the past month so that's a pretty good number for online games. BF6 is currently huge but will eventually lose chunks of players in the next months.

Yeah all games drop off and it has had some matchmaking and bot issues which have wound up the community a bit but the new PVE mode announced and some big names on the way soon it still seems to have plenty of life despite the naysayers and "dead game" jibes. I mean CoD still gets the most amount of hate online but that still out performs most of its competitors despite the negativity.

I think ranked is more where the issues are anyway and the last balancing patch helped a lot. Daredevil seems to have gone over well and is a heck of a lot of fun to play. Plenty of life left in this one yet.

I dont like the Zombie mode. Its too repetitive and not fun IMO. I wish they would let us pick anyone so at least it would have that variety

Also are they releasing the Zombie Wanda and Namor skins?

Gambit and Rogue.

Social hub.

New map and gamemode.

1 year anniversary celebration.

Going to be a fun season this one....
