Marvel/Sony Want More!

Our source at Marvel Entertainment gave us the latest update on the ongoings of the X-MEN franchise, and what the future may hold for our favorite mutants:
Recently at the company’s web-site, we posted the latest on what was going on with all our movie projects during our last web-cast, which is available for downloading at Marvel.com. At one point during the conference, It was brought up that the future of both the X-Men and Spider-Man movie franchises will depend on how talks between Marvel, The Sony Company, and Fox will go next.
Since then some talks have taken place, and I must say that at the moment, It tends to favor Spider-Man more. Sony is so confident that Spider-Man 3 will be a hit that both the studio and Marvel are in active talks about doing more movies with the current cast and film crew. Talks between Marvel and Fox have not gone so smoothly.

Great news for us Spider-Man fans. I posted this in the sequels forum but I thought it was worthy news for all to hear since most people only visit this board.

Ohh yea...it made my night too. Just the fact that they want to make more even before this cash cow comes out in May pretty much solidifies the fact that we will get more Spider-Man films...on top of that...with the current cast and crew!

Sony has treated Spiderman far more kindly than Fox has treated Xmen. I'm not surprised at who Marvel is getting on better with.

More Spidey movies just means that they will eventually have kill off Aunt May to help progress the story along that much more.

Sam will probably work on the Hobbit, but if he turns it down, he's probably looking to do Evil Dead 4 instead. Then it's back to Spidey 4, YEAH!!!

I can wait 5 or 6 years as long as everyone stays on board. I hate recasts and think they should be a last resort.

Theyre making #3 as IF it is the last movie, trying to tie up as many loose ends as possible IN CASE theyre not making #4. Most likely if they do make a fourth one, they are expecting a new director and the main cast will probably change.

Did you not read the link? Plus Tobey said he would be happy to come back. They are really only ending Harry's arc for sure. He can't keep coming back and back...these movies are about Spider-Man...not Harry Osbourne. As far as Aunt May goes...she dies in the comics and I think tying up her arc would be fine as well. To add to all of that...they are introducing the new arcs of Gwen and her father and possibly even Eddie if he doesn't get killed off...other than that, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Did you read the first post?

Sam will do more Spidey films, no only cause he enjoys making them, but Sony is going to give him a really nice paycheck to stay on.

Sam and Tobey are the heart of the Spider-man films and Sony KNOWS THAT!
