Yeah...Goblins are getting to be like Superman's Lex Luthor. However, i think for the 1st two films of a trilogy, the Goblin should be hinted at, as already in existence, while Spidey deal with those films main villains. The big mystery throughout those films, would be what Goblin (Green or Hob). Both Norman and Roderick should have brief suspicious appearances, and brief name drop references. As well, name drop Jason & Ned, just for added mystery & intrigue. Play it out, to its inevitable appearance in the climactic final battle, in the "third film" of the trilogy. Of course, there will be another villain in the mist, that would take us up to that final battle, in the third film.
Hobgoblin shouldn't show his face until Green Goblin is firmly established. That's one thing the 90's carton ballsed up. Having Hobgoblin come before Green Goblin.

Yeah, I agree totally...I'm simply talking about creating a little mystery, as to who it is that is actually out there, without, it being so clear & predictable. But, yes...I totally agree with you on that.![]()
Anyone else think Hulk will be in this? I don't see where else in Phase 3 he will turn up and I'm pretty sure Feige said he would be in multiple Phase 3 films.
Plus it would help to keep Spidey fresh by crossing him over with a popular Marvel character.
I don't think Marvel should go that route. Green Goblin should be a mystery to Spider-Man and the people of New York, but not to the audience. People know too much about Green Goblin now that it would feel unnecessary to play the mystery card. TSSM succeeded, but I doubt fans would fall for it again and the GA will probably go "So it was him, like last time? Why even bother trying to hide that for us?".
I think they should use at least one other superhero though - I think it would help to keep the Spider-man franchise fresh.Kevin said that before this deal though. I don't see Hulk fitting in a Spider-Man film to be honest.
Well, because imho, the writing need to create some wonder & mystery, engagement with the audience period(in some respect, much like "The Usual Suspects)to follow along, and try to figure out what's going on behind the scenes and subplots for future reference, as they follow Spidey interaction with supporting cast & villains and current situation at hand.
Just a way to be less predictable, and more clever, slick, and thrilling. Everything don't have to be neat, convenient, and simple....imo.

The First Amazing Spider-Man has really grown on me over the years and its became one of my favourite Spiderman movies it's because of people complaining it was copying The Nolan Batman movies the 2nd one had to change the tone which made it get a rotten score even if I liked the 2nd movie it was still a poor effort If Sony kept the same tone as the first movie we wouldn't be getting a reboot
If Sony kept the same tone, the next film still would've failed, thus another reboot.
Fury or Hawkeye maybe. Johnny would have been great. And if they had X-Men Iceman too.If we had the FF it'd be easy, just use Johnny.
Probably be Iron Man tho Cap would be my first pick.
Sony: So when Spider-Man is in the Avengers: Infinity War movies, he must be the main character. And no one else can talk to him. They are not worthy of it. They may only speak when spoken to.don't fool yourselves, Spidey is gonna interact with everybody
