This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]495035[/split]
Not sure if serious, the guy is definitely the most popular choice by far.
From what I see on here there's still a lot of people hoping the rumors aren't true about him being Spider-Man. That's just from what I've read. There's definitely people that want him, but I've seen quite a few who don't like him as Spidey.Huh... you lost me there![]()

Judging by the polls on these boards 41% chose O'Brien, 27% wanted Lerman and 31% were other actors so I'm not sure where the 9/10 is coming from? Again, I'm just going by the polls. Not on here, it's like 9/10 want him.
Like I posted above, people wanting someone other than O'Brien is actually the majority in the polls.LOL! There are some who don't want him but they're the minority.
He is still by far the most popular choice for the role.

It has changed a lot since that poll which was months ago, I personally didn't want him till just a couple of weeks ago when I saw clips of him in TW and his interviews.
And I think a lot of people are in the same boat, if that poll was done again I think it would be more in favor of Dylan.
I'm going on the comments i see here and in the casting thread.
I'm indecisive on whether I want Dylan to get the role or not. On one hand he seems to be able to joke naturally. On the other hand I don't know if he has the underdog charm and likeability required.
I wouldn't be disappointed if he gets cast as Peter, however I would also be excited if someone who hasn't been fan cast yet gets the role.
Charlie Rowe looks the part more than others but his acting talent is still questionable, especially with an american accent which I'm not convinced that he can pull off with a natural tone, at least from the footage I've seen. Logan Lerman is arguably the most talented dramatic actor but even I as a fan have started questioning his comedic skills. And then there's Dylan O'Brien... he might just be the safest bet out of those three. But I'm afriad he'll come of as too smug in the role, and whether you go full dork or full confident jokester with him, Peter Parker most importantly has to be likable. Before anything else
At this point, "popular fancast" equals "safe boring choice" to me. I doubt many internet fans would have gone with RDJ for Iron Man had they been in charge, or Amy Adams for Lois, or etc, etc. And especially with this casting, given how unknown most young teen actors are at this point. I trust/hope that the wide casting searches yield more interesting results than what you see here.
Well no, because 25% wants a different actor besides O'Brien, Lerman and Martella. There's still 26% that want Lerman and 7% Martella, so that counts as people that don't want O'Brien. Technically 41% want O'Brien and 49% don't, who that 49% of people want is irrelevant besides the fact that it isn't O'Brien.25% wants someone else, 41% wants Dylan so the majority wants Dylan.

Nah, I'll do it for myself. You repeatedly post pictures of actors and make posts like for example "#Chandler4Spidey!!" or "Chandler for the win!!", about whoever takes up a minute of your mind. When it's not Chandler it's O'Brien, or that Game of Thrones kid etc.
Others post more rationally, like "Yeah XXX could be a great Peter Parker" or "I'd like to see someone like that guy play Peter Parker" for example and don't behave in such a sensationalist, "OH MY GOD!!" way.
I've read far too many of your posts, that's why I've seen this being repeated over and over again.
It's not about whoever is your first choice for whatever age, it's just that it would be nice if you just toned it down a little. You're posting like you're a loud kid yelling "LOOK AT HIM!!" and push a huge photo at my face.
Meh, I'll just use the ignore function.
"One of Harry's sporadic fancasts"
is it true that they're casting a 15 year old for spiderman? if so i really don't want to see that. peter parker to me has always been a convincing 17 year old kid. having an actual 18 year old play a character would make him look 14. it'll be ridiculous seeing that in action
