I think some of the fans here are so desperate for the actor to not be a teen and that their favorite 23-25 year old actor is picked, that they will dismiss anything pointing to such a conclusion.

Seriously are we really considering Nolan Gould over Dylan O Brien?!?

Love him on Modern Family but if this is true I will boycott all future Marvel films

For me you just don't go in for one set age it limits alot if potential choices either they started young didn't find many they liked and went looking at a little older. Or the reverse started at older didn't find there fit and looking younger. It's no different if a older one is picked it's standard practice. I just like it to end so we can go from who be the role to what we like dislike and what we hope said pick will do on role.

Can't see Nolan Gould interacting with Robert Downey Jr

Gould has spent the last five years on the set of an Emmy winning sitcom surrounded by Emmy winning actors. He'll be fine but they should straighten his hair.

I hope this isn't aimed at me. Because that has nothing to do with why I think Sneider is a hack.

Ya I have no hate for he he is good in his show. It's just I don't feel him as spidey and on second degree his height is another reason I don't see him as a total fit.

They didn't deserve most of the wins. And Emmy award winning show or not, he's still a bad actor.

Nolan Gould is not a good actor. The fact that he is in a Emmy award winning show means nothing.

If you guys dont recognize hes a horrible actor I have nothing else to say

Yes he is on a Emmy win shiw. Doesn't mean he is the best guy on the show. Or from what folks seen of him there and films is what they want as peter and spidey. I know he is solid in the show and is a genius in real life finished collage and is in mensa. Still he isn't a pick I feel fits best in what most want out of peter and spidey.

They'll dismiss your post because you're clearly wrong and redditleaker23456 and Danielrpk said that Dylan O'Brien is Spider-Man. :o

I agree with this.

If it isn't about you, it should. And since you suspected that this could be about you, let me remind you that you are among the people championing for an older actor to play a teenager for weeks on this board.

While I'd rather see Asa Butterfield getting the part between the two, if he gets the role, it's because Marvel believe in him. And saying that Nolan Gould is not a good actor and that Modern Family didn't deserve most of their wins not only is incredibly biased, but asinine as well. And I don't like Modern Family, OR Nolan Gould.

What John Locke means and the reason Marvel probably has an eye on him is that he hold his own against a star-studded cast. That doesn't mean that he'll get the role, it just meanst that's the profile Marvel is going for. Actors that have experience with working with other great actors. Both Asa and Nolan fit that bill. I'd argue that Timothée fits that bill as well, but this is baseless wishful thinking from my end at this point.

I just brought up that it's an Emmy winning show to say that it means he's working with high quality actors and he's part of a big production. It's more than most young actors can say.

I said it I. Other page if it ultimately was just asa and gould. I take asa over him. As much as asa isn't my top choices he I feel would fit a bit more then gould. Now if gould was pick yes I would be disapointed a bit. And then hope marvel and sony picked well and he gives us the performance of peter and spidey we fans want.

Exactly. What Asa and Nolan have in common? Both are young and have worked with great actors before. I wouldn't think it's far fetched to imagine that BOTH of them will end up working in Spider-Man, who will be Peter Parker is still up for grabs though, but other than Chalamet, I'm team Butterfield.

Whats it matter that he works with good actors if hes still a bad one himself?

@Talion You said that Dylan was not a good actor.... but because I said that Nolan is not good, it's stupid? I watch Modern Family and his character is funny but sorry, he's not good. I like him
but he's not good. Just like I thought Chris Evans was terrible before Captain, just like I thought Halle Berry was horrible in the Catwoman mess.

I think he's a good actor. Also, playing Spider-Man and working with RDJ and Evans could make him step up his game. They could even help him along the way.

Nolan Gould works in a respected show filled with actors that are known for been great. Not the same can be said about Dylan O'Brien, regardless how much a fan you are of him.

If Dylan O'Brien was 15-18 year old kid he'd certainly be one name at the table. But he isn't. Hence why he never "heard it professionally". And good thing that you mentioned Evans, people didn't believe that he could pull it off Cap, but he did. He wasn't a low time tv show actor though, he had shown a lot of range with his films long before he was cast as Captain.

Jeez you have an answer for everything.
