Yet again, John Campea states that a source close to production on Civil War confirms that Spider-Man will have a "significant" role in the film... At this point, Marvel has to have an actor, I personally think believe Asa Butterfield has been cast and it's all but confirmed, so we should start getting some set pics in June. We'll see, though.
The actor has to have time to prepare for the role.

There's no way casting is STILL going on at this point, May is almost over and the actor has to have time to book travels to different states for shooting, rehearse his script and get fitted for the costume (which takes at least a week in itself)

Then it's Dylan O'Brien :o

EDIT: In all seriousness though, not necessarily... weren't you one of the people saying how they could just give the actor a muscle suit?

I still think an actor has been cast for a while. It just isn't possible they've taken this much time to cast him.

i'm still hoping :mrk::mrk::mrk:

No, not at all, there's a 90% that it won't be O'Brien. but I do agree that the actor has to have been cast by now.

Yes, but they still have to fit him for the costume to fit his body form.

They also have to make multiple suits for different shooting requirements.

I'm talking about posing a physical threat to Spider-Man or the Avengers.

And difference with RDJ is that he only just entered his fifties, so it's a lot easier to sell the fact that he's in his forties.

Norman takes the goblin formula! :oldrazz:

Besides, ever hear of stunt doubles?

Besides, there's more to Norman than a physical threat. He's cunning and manipulative and a psychological threat.

I'm sure Cranston can deliver. Even in his "advanced years."

So, you're saying there's still a 10% chance it could be Dylan? :cwink:

Hurray, harryo's back! :woot:

Nah, Dylan O'Brien obsessed Oscop died two months ago.

So.. LOL, his body doesn't change at all, he only gains superhuman capabilities... unless you're insisting that they should skip a proper adaptation of 616 Goblin and go right to Ultimate.

Which is funny because in later movies (when Cranston starts pushing 70) that's when Norman will start becoming a physical threat to Peter/Avengers

Marvel has plans mapped out all the way till 2028

The double standards...

Norman Osborn has to look physically threatening but Spider-Man being played by a puny skinny dude doesn't. I see...

Search your feelings. There is still O'Brien in you. You know it to be true.

NEVER! Never Ultimate!

Being a physical threat was never the main point of Norman.

Man what a long day of work. But on way home I caught the news of Michael m. He would be an interesting choice for norman and could see it. So I be down with him.

As for peter I too firmly believe actor is already set. And has been for at least start of this month or some time last month. As I kept bringing up all the this that need to be in place and ready with the actor.

As for who it is. Man I really can't wait for reveal. I just want it over so bad. And asa or tom I still feel better with tom. Asa I could warm up too. But still have concerns that will tick me off to he proves different.

Just heard the rumour of Matthew McConaughey being eyed for Norman Osborn, I have to say that this could be good, he's a good actor and I would like to see his take Norman.

I know this is probably premature but, any suggestions for Harry to Mcconaughey's Norman? Other than Holland

I will say that Matthew McConaughey does have Norman Osborn hair.

 :oldrazz: Spider-Man is a 15 year-old child, Norman Osborn is a guy in his early forties who owns a mega cooperation, HUGE difference.

peter parker was 15 when he was bit, but he's been spiderman for an as of yet, undisclosed amount of time in the mcu.

and i think it's been at least 4 years that have passed since the events of im1. i could be off about that though.

Feige said Peter would probably be about 15 or 16

Feigue said Peter is currently 15/16 in the MCU (most likely 15).
