ah, did he provide any details on why he thinks Tom got the part?

Not really, he just said he thinks Holland was cast. I'm thinking if that's really the case, other industry insiders know about it.

ah, thanks.

so that means Talion is vindicated??!! :oldrazz:

It's not really up to Marvel anyway. Sony still holds the rights to spider-man, they can technically do what they want as long it doesn't interfere too much with the mcu
Only somewhat. Sony still owns the rights, but they're basically letting Marvel do whatever the heck they want with it. And Sony knows that if they get too involved Marvel might back out and force them to reboot for a fourth time, most likely resulting in them losing the rights to the character.

In other words, Sony is at Marvel's mercy here. And if Marvel says "Screw your Sinister Six movie, we're doing a Thunderbolts movie instead," Sony doesn't have much of a choice there.

Waffle weeks ago we knew casting was still on going. And like I pointed out boseman and freeman have yet to film. We haven't even seen robert filming even though we know he is down there. So again if the actor shoots for a week or two thst is plently of time to have a key role. And do yoy really think after marvel spent years to get spidey in picture they only have him show up in a blink you miss it Stan Lee type role. Ya I don't think so. I still feel it be like vision about 19 mins through out the film. And 2 peter and 2 spidey scenes. Also the synopsis didn't even mention general Ross or Scott Lang or even freeman characters. And film bios change all the time from early ones to up to a film release. We will likely see a few bios over the next 10 months.

And I would not want to see s6 off the bat with no build up or reason to care about them. We don't need s6 right now we should slowly build up to them and have them be 3rd solo at the earliest. So we can build up members over a few solo films and other mcu films. So we know who and why they are. And again if it's stated in civil war that spidey only been in action for a short time and hasn't really fought any powerful guys your views wouldn't work. And I would not want s6 out of the bat.

Again I'd sony uses any of there pre marvel plans. It is more likely to happen in their animated movie. Then with the deal with marvel.

Ans I don't see why oh you can't have shocker vulture kraven mysterio headline there own solo movie. They are all darn quality foes who can headline film. I rather build things up then throw it all out in one movie.

That is why I don't care much for batman V superman they are throwing us right into jl pretty much and no build up. For us to care or understand why these characters are as they are.

I think Marvel and Sony will want to make an announcement very soon if this is true, because I have a feeling that if they keep lingering around with this, scoopers are going to leak out the casting first.

Also waffle we don't really know for a matter of fact with now the rights being shared who has more say over thebother. As I said before when this been brought up. It is likely more 50 50 deal. Where they both has a good say and pull on things. Cause come on yoy think either party would not want the other having all the marbles. Marvel wouldn't want sony mucking things yp. And sony needs marvel to give the brand new life. Untill the solo is actually under way we won't likely know how this partnership will work out.

Also waffle why would you want s6 out of the gate what do you do then for sequels. And why would you not want build up and reasons to know and get into minds of the characters. It be better do 2 villains per film. 1 main villain and one minor villain. So we slowly build up the s6 over film series.

If this thread is over before they announce it, I'll unsubscribe until they do

Not really. Marvel doesn't make any money off the solos, or whatever spinoffs they wanna do. Or invest anything for that matter. If Sony gets ex-communicated by Marvel, they already have their reboot started. Marvel loses spider-man and his other characters. Marvel actually has more to lose by excommunicating sony after the fact. That's the way it seems at least. And I'm going off the few details we actually know about the deal.

See look now we know sony not doing comic con. It is more then likely going to be revealed soon either tomorrow or next week. So first we be before antman and not over take it. And also beat dc comic con plans and all that. And again if it's revealed by next week.

I still firmly expect actor to begin filming by June 29th. And go into first or second week of july. But that is the other factor how much longer are they in atlanta before they move production. With production only 2 months more.

For me, this is good news as far as the announcement goes .
It will almost definitely be before Comic Con now .

Apparently ElMayimbe also says Scott Eastwood is playing Deathstroke in Suicide Squad, after apologizing for previously reporting that he was Steve Trevor.

I don't see Eastman as deathroke in thought it was already said one of the others from the cast phto was slade.

Deathstroke? Ehhhh. There's already a set pic of him and he looks nothing like deathstroke

At least we now know for sure that the announcement will either come before or after SDCC.

Well now that we see sony skipping out too. I hope it puts thst to bed. I hope now it be tomorrow or next week. With actor then starting by the end of this month.
