as for civil war trailer news i was hoping the spectre news was right. As its out next week and i really like to see it soon. But like somone said we could always see something before dec. Then with star wars have another trailer or a full trailer. As for casting as we dont start filming to june. I still doubt we will hear anything to jan.

Hiring Sam for, let's say a sequel to SM2017, might bring some unwanted baggage the project. But it's definitely an interesting concept. It might be a similar situation to Martin Cambell having directed Golden Eye, and then having come back with a completely new & fresh style with Casino Royale

That is great. I love Sam Raimi. It would be so good if he had involvement with new movies in some way.

That's absurd. Watts has done nothing to cause concern (the writers, yes, but not Watts). I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt here. And, as much as I like Raimi, I don't want someone whose already directed a different version of Spider-Man to direct this one. New blood is needed for a new studio.

Yes, if Raimi comes back he should totally direct a new Marvel property instead of Spider-Man. Maybe Raimi could be a good fit for the Inhumans movie.

It'd be great to see Raimi do another Marvel film. If Marvel ever wanted to make a Ghost Rider film I'd say Raimi would be great for that. If he wants to work with Spider-man again I wouldn't be opposed to it.

Raimi could probably make the Lizard really kickass. Connors on the other hand... it's a little odd he cast Dylan Baker to play him when the character clearly needs a welcoming presence. I can't imagine Peter having any kind of emotional tie to him the way Connors was portrayed by Raimi

Dylan Baker would've been fine as Lizard. But the problem was that he wasnt written like the Curt Connors we all know and love, he wasnt even a biologist. Same could be said for Rhys Ifans imo.

I agree. Having Sam be a director for these new set of films would not be something I would want. However, Feige did say they are taking SM2 as the bar for the level of quality they want to achieve with the new film...having Sam on board as a consultant would be great. I'm sure there's some other capacity in which they could use Raimi. Yes, he's already done a different version of Spider-Man, he's still a talented filmmaker and it'd be interesting to see him collaborate or at least add input to a project headed by Feige.

Connors did come off as a little cold during his moments in the Raimi films. However, he was always in the teacher to student role with Parker. They didn't have a personal connection developed yet. Their working relationship was fleshed out enough--Parker calls Connors about the symbiote. That shows both respect and trust. Based on his love of creating sympathetic villains I have faith that Raimi would have done a good job of rounding out Connors and.... unlike some other productions, I'm willing to bet Raimi would have included Connors' family
