Marvel Films Marvel Studios' Armor Wars (aka A War Machine Story)

I still hope it'll be filmed this October so we might see it winter 2023.

 

I do wonder if there might be room for War Machine in a supporting role for the future Avenger films. I mean you have Cheadle popping up in Falcon and the Winter Soldier plus Secret Invasion.

Marvel’s Secret Invasion Will Lead Into Armor Wars
This is just a guess but I’m assuming that one of the Skrulls disguises themself as Rhodey and gets ahold of Stark tech and or uses them for the rogue Skrull fraction and once the battle ends the weapons are out in the wild or they sell them to other criminals of earth and in Armor Wars Rhodey has to fix the problem that’s left over from Secret Invasion.

 

Would love to see that!

 

Well it’s seems that Rhodey is an important Government official that he has his own security protection detail, which makes me wonder if he got promoted after Endgame or during the five years.

 

It makes me wonder if he took on Tony’s role from the comics and he’s been promoted to Secretary of Defense.

 

Armor Wars also has the same font as Secret Invasion so it’s almost like their companion series.

 

. . .that's not the same font. At all. Look at the A's and the S's.

 

I recall reading originally he was supposed to be the VP in Endgame.

Well that's a left turn I was not expecting lol. Tbf, this might be for the best. While I like most of the Disney Plus shows, some like Falcon and the Winter Soldier could have easily been a movie.

 

Kinda looks like it too me but maybe I need to get my eyes checked lol.

 

That would’ve been an interesting direction.

 

I think this is the right move. Rhodey deserves the big screen treatment.

It’s not true of every series (She-Hulk, for one, seems to have dodged it), but I think there is some truth to the accusations that the D+ series can sometimes seem like long, fragmented movies.

So, if this kind of shift is even possible, it’s probably for the best to trim the fat and lose the pretense that this is anything other than a singular movie.

 

WandaVision, Loki, and Falcon and Winter Soldier?

 

WandaVision certainly made the most of its episodic structure.

Loki and Falcon/WS… less so.

 

I can't speak for Loki, but FAWS got HIT BIG TIME by pandemic related problems behind the scenes.
Not the least of which was the fact that the story originally had The Flag Smashers unleashing a Global Virus on the world.
Obviously, that had to be changed.
Under the circumstances, they did the best that they could.

 

I always thought Rhodey was a badass. Especially in Iron Man 2 and Infinity War.

I wonder if Sharon Carter could be the big bad in the movie (considering the FatWS finale and the "Stark technology ends up on the wrong hands").

So, officially we know James and Iron Heart are in it right? I wonder if they'll change it up from the comics and have Rhodes be Riri's mentor.

Wouldn't be crazy to think Happy, Pepper and Morgan could have at least a small role.
Maybe a few familiar Wakandian faces?
And I wonder if they'll bring back Harley from Iron Man 3 and have him be Iron Lad (ish).

Speaking of VP Rhodes, wasn't there also a rumor of them considering having President Hulk?
Seems very unlikely, especially where She-Hulk seems to be leading the character, but I wonder if they'd give such a big role to a known character.
President Rhodes? President Potts? Or, most likely if they ever recast the role, president Ross?
