Moon Knight Marvel Studios' Moon Knight General Discussion Thread

Good! Because I tell you what if they weren’t old silvermoth will have to write a very stern letter

Hmm, while it's cool that Moon Knight will show up in the movies, I do hope that it doesn't mean that they will hold back when it comes to the character's complexity and violence. I love many of the Marvel movies, but they haven't really had the kind of depth I would like to see in Marc Spector.

Agreed. This show won't be hard R or TV-MA, based on what we've heard about Disney+, but I think people are mistaken in believing that means he can't still have his edge. There are ways to show that level of depth, violence, and intensity in lower rated series. Heck, even Umbrella Academy is TV-14.

Violence =/= gore. Nolan's Bat-stuff for example was plenty violent but light on gore. Same for Batman '89. It doesn't need the R-rated gore levels of Marvel/Netflix to effectively convey violence or the character's "edge." PG-13 levels is all it should need, imo. As for the complexity, having 8 hours to spend on the character and his origin vs. 2 hours should help in that department.

I mostly agree with that, but when it comes to Nolan's Batman movies, I actually found it silly that through all those shootings, stabbings and elbows (God, all those elbows), I can just barely remember a drop of blood. There's was a lot of violence in those movies, but I felt that the violence lacked visceral impact. Bane and Batman threw everything they had at each other, and yet they barely managed to make each other bleed? But I do think you can achieve it with a PG-13-label. Casino Royale felt brutal in it's violence and it wasn't afraid to show Bond bleeding and getting hurt.

I also agree that having more time should help when it comes to complexity, but I also feel that it's not really something that Marvel usually goes for in their movies. We have had so many movies with Thor and Captain America, but I don't feel they came close to showing the depth and complexity that could be found in Daredevil. And their version of Spider-Man feels quite hollow compared to the wonderful version from the comics.

The actual source is Daniel Richtman...so...I kind of doubt it.

Bushman seems like he'd be a problematic villain in this day and age. I doubt we see him unless there are serious changes.

They managed to make Man-Ape work, so I'm sure they could figure something out if they wanted to.

Except what did they did do? They didn't call him Man-Ape. Took away the actual ape costume and also made him one of the heroes. As in they massively overhauled the character. They didn't do this.

Nooo. He has never struck me as Moon Knight, and also seems way too short. I have never thought of Moon Knight pulling off his mask to reveal Harry Potter behind it.

I still can't think of Radcliff's voice as fitting for the character, but then I think that Mark Hamill and Charlie Cox had to change their voices to fit Joker and Daredevil, so maybe I shouldn't worry too much.

It's funny to think that two of the main characters in Goblet of Fire play as caped knights around the same time, one plays the Dark Knight while the other is Moon Knight.

I don't really trust all these so-called insider casting rumors anyway. When do they ever turn out to be legit?

If he is cast, then I hope Moon Knight wears Harry Potter glasses under his mask. Not even contact lenses. :o

Radcliff would be better fit for Wolverine than Moon Kinght, if he trains for some time.

I’ve always thought it was odd he kept popping up in fancasts for things

Someone should suggest him for Scott "Slim" Summers. :o

He can have red-tinted Harry Potter glasses.

Marvel's Dracula is Now Rumored To Appear in Disney+'s MOON KNIGHT Series — GeekTyrant

Marvel’s upcoming Moon Knight series seems to be shaping up to be a monster fest, which would be awesome! It’s previously been reported that Werewolf by Night, Bushman, and Stained Glass Scarlett might appear in the series as villains. Now, according to Marvel scooper Daniel Richtman, Dracula is set to appear in the series as well.

Dracula, based on Bram Stoker’s novel, originally debuted in Marvel Comics in 1972’s The Tomb of Dracula #1. The character has changed a lot in the comics over the years. His most recent storyline involved uniting all the world’s vampires and going to war against The Avengers. Marvel needs to bring that story to the big screen! That would be wild!

Yessss! That would be awesome! I love Dracula!

Which version of Dracula though? The one with the black cape with red lining and a goatee from Tomb of Dracula in the 1970s? Or that more modern camply-dressed one in red and white with long hair whom you'd never recognise as Dracula but might as well be a completely different character?

It would be great if he looked like the Count from Sesame Street instead.

According to Bram Stoker doesn't he have white or gray bushy hair and a heavy moustache? I don't think even the book accurate depiction is recognisable as Dracula anymore to most people.

Also, if these reports of all these monsters are true might we see some version of the Midnight Sons with Strange, Blade, Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night in the future?
