Which of these games do you think will be better?

I think MUA will be better becuae the marvel game team know the format, from XML, so they will be able to master it better, also as far as I can tell MUA has more characters, anyone else?

Actually, the Marvel team that did X-Men Legends tried to replicate the games that the Justice League Heroes team did in the past. Snowblind is the master of Action RPGs for consoles. Coupled with Dwayne McDuffie heading the story along with awesome voice actors (mind you, not as awesome as the DCAU voice actors but awesome nonetheless), it's a clear "win" if I were to choose one. Not to say that MUA doesn't have awesome voice actors either, I like most of them from what I've heard, I just know most of the JLH voice actors. However, I'm getting both so it doesn't really matter. I'll enjoy both a lot. If you base this solely on the company, Snowblind has more experience under its belt, however along with McDuffie's experience with JL and JLU.

I also quoted win to point out that it shouldn't be a win in the sense that one would dominate over the other, I just feel that JLH will have a little more quality under its belt. MUA will have the quantity.

JL:H looks a bit crappy:(

MARVEL all the way

unless i havent seen something

I think the voice actors on MUA seem poorly casted so far, but the variety of great characters, that you don't usually get to play with, and the story etc, I think it will be a better game

I'm gonna get both, since both look awesome and both have a great team with a great engine making them.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance looks like the better game to me.

in the end im prob not getting either.......

simply because it doesnt seem like the kind of game that lasts forever (super smash bros.)

spend 60$....beat it in a week.... never see it again:(

I'll get both...but MUA is the one i'll get first and am more excited about.

I guess it was inevitable that someone would make a poll about this. I'm a huge Snowblind fan based on their previous credits, so i'm going with JLH. I love what they're doing with it. The whole 2 player co-op instead of 4 had me down at first, but logically it works with the game concept. JLH also doesn't have the quantity that MUA boasts, but great care was given to every character in the game to make them all stand out individually. If you can't see that just from the gameplay movies, you're blind.

I'm also a pretty big X-Men Legends fans so i'm definately getting MUA and expecting good things. I just hope Raven has learned their lessons from the Legends games. Character and experience balancing were huge issues, and a lot of the characters basically had the same moves. I'm not really understanding all the hype about 140 characters in MUA. Only 20 or so are going to be playable. If the other 120 or so appearances aren't more than just cameos, then who cares? If anything, that would piss me off because i can't play as them.

So anyway, i'm voting for JLH but i'm definately amped about both games.

Will JLH have the same gliches as Baldurs gate etc? Meaning you can super pump all your characters?

I don't recall being able to "super pump" any character in Dark Alliance.

If you import them and stuff, the cheating bring in the character with better stuff glich, or the infinite money cheat etc... and in BG2, you could get the money, then infinitely pump your character using the people who you give money to for experience!

Snowblind didn't develop DA 2.

but i thought they just adapted the same engine, the glich worked the same way in both.

There's no money in JLH, and there isn't a boat load of loot to collect either. Also Dark Alliance 2 wasn't made by Snowblind so whatever glitches you encountered with that game has nothing to do with them.

Loot in JLH comes in the form of Boosts and Shields. Shields acts like money but you're not purchasing game gear. Those are used to unlock secrets in the game like extra characters, extra costumes, etc. Boosts could very well be exploited but if there's no import feature, i don't see how you would do it. There's really no need for an import feature cause we have iconic heroes here, not individually created players.

Unless there are cheat codes to do these things, i doubt you'll find these exploits in JLH.

I guess they could have used the same engine but you have to remember that Snowblind's engine is now in its 4th or 5th generation. It's vastly improved. And as Rising Son said, there won't be ways to exploit anything in JLH based on what happened in DA.

Why not have a third option for both? I can see the raging DC & Marvel fanboys flaming each other in this thread.

My vote goes for both.

I'm getting both, but I think MUA will be better. I'm intrigued to see how the Flash works in JLH, does everything else slow down?

The main purpose of these polls is to incite rage. These type of posts always turn into a comparison debate. Can't we all just be happy that we have two legitimate superhero hack and slash action rpgs coming out next month? Sure you can be more interested in one over the other, but both look great. Let's all get along. :yay:

M:UA = Definetly

JLH = More than likely

Marvel will win because of the success of the X-men Legends games. That alone gives em the edge...Not to mention more characters, even more famous heroes than X-men Legends...Basicly if you thought X-men Legends I and II did great, you ain't seen nothing yet.

JLH looks great too though so I'm getting both.

Well, according to the latest issue of EGM, MUA is slightly better at this stage in development. They do note that things could change by the time both games are released, and that JLH is still a great game, so you really can't lose either way.

That said, I'm getting both, but I'll be getting MUA first.
