The ones i care about dont.

I didnt say i dont like superhero's, im just not a big fan of reading comics.
There's not a single superhero in comics that's costume isn't silly in a realistic setting. So yeah, the ones you care about actually do.

Just say you're not willing to be educated beyond the typical and move along with it. Because some of the ''dumb" characters are BETTER than your favorites I can guarantee.

Nope. Still sticking with the "the ones i care about dont have lame costumes" line.

How is Cable any different from the loads of other popular anti-heroes? Because he's not funny and commercially friendly like Deadpool, he doesn't rate as a hero?

Well, my famous dislike of the anti-hero archetype aside, when was the last time Cable fought a criminal supervillain, or stopped a bank robbery, or did any of the other bread and butter superheroic activity?

I dont care enough to want to take the time to read any of their back story. Im not a big fan of comics. Its far easier to just write them off based on a lame costume.

I can't believe this is the same person who was lobbying for stronger stories and Spidey games and accused SD villains of being "thrown in".

No they're not. I guarantee it.

I never said i didnt like the characters. I just dont physically read comics at this point. I have before, but i dont now.

I want a strong story in ALL my games, Spidey is no exception.

Who are you favorites? The ones with movies or were in 90's cartoons? Either way, you're ignoring ALOT of good characters on possibly the dumbest reason I've ever read on the internet.

I like all the popular characters.

C'mon, Bill, there have been far dumber reasons. And whatever, like I said, if he doesn't want to try to get into certain characters, that's his decision.

I like all the popular characters.
And THERE's your fault. Popular doesn't automatically mean BETTER. And some of the ones I've seen you've called ''DUMB?" are actually QUITE popular. She Hulk for instance. She's one of THREE females who've actually reached beyond 100 issues and multiple ongoings.

Judging a book by it's cover is a TERRIBLE way to go through life. You miss out on alot.

I just don't like people who go through life with popularity goggles only. S'all. It is his decision, but it's not a very bright one, IMO.

I was half joking for the most part, but as i said, i dont care to read comics at this point, i havent read any books since like the first year Ultimate Spider-Man started. So if i see a character who is visually unappealing to me, why would i want to go and read up on that character, when i dont really care to do any kind of comic book reading to begin with?

Ah, alright i'm going to drop this because I feel like i'm getting too ranty. It just really gets to me how easily people 'hate' things.

It's purely because of the internet. I remember when loving comics and superheroes was a rare and niche thing, and the pure joy of meeting someone else who read them, and being able to chat endlessly about all your favourite characters and stories you loved, and feeling a part of that. That kind of thinking and interaction creates a love of all things creative, and really opens up your imagination.

Since the internet, that whole feeling of being apart of something great has just disappeared. They're just commodities now, and everyone has this attitude of "If this thing doesn't please me or appeal to my tastes, it's worthless." People hate on sight, at the mere mention of a concept. That attitude just turns me off a person really quickly. I will read something all the way to the end, even if i'm hating it, so I can have a fully formed opinion and stand back and see where it fits into the cultural landscape. It doesn't matter if it's not my thing after reading it, because then I can see why it would appeal to other people which in turn helps me understand more about a person or group of people than I knew before.

From my experience, people who can casually judge without experiencing something generally go through life without ever reflecting on themselves or having any deep, self awareness. And thats it, rant finished.

That was a joke, but really most of my favs are pretty popular now that i think about it. Spider-Man, Batman, Blade, Spawn, Deadpool, some of the X-Men, Ghost Rider, Black Panther, Daredevil, Iron Man just to name a few.

I have it for the Xbox 360. And I exaggerate my "hate" of fictional characters for comedic gain. I also know that being shot would be bad, despite never having experienced it before.

Does it really matter tho? If someone doesn't like something, for whatever reason, isnt that their decision? Even more so when you are talking about something as insignificant as a comic book?

This. I think a few missed that.

PS3, of course. Though I don't really get to play it until tomorrow.

BTW, hope Frank West and Doc Ock make it as DLC.

I really dont get the Frank West love. I think he'd be pretty boring, altho i know he was in TvC so maybe he showed out there.

Doc Ock tho, would be sick. I can see him having a lot of bad ass moves with those tentacles.

Doc Ock would be great. Personally, I think that Capcom and Marvel have missed a lot of opportunities to showcase some excellent characters.

Yea i agree. Altho, with the way DLC works, im really hoping they can get this roster closer to 56 over time. Altho, im sure Capcom will just re-release this game with a SUPER slapped on the cover....which id undoubtedly buy.

Personally, I'd love Dr. Strange, seeing as he's one of my favorite Marvel characters.
