I'm hating how Marvel will soon revert to the status Quo of the fan base and lose the current improving quality of the writing to satisfy the narrow-minded who've been *****ing non-stop over the last three years.

SAD SIGH.

New Avengers Ends,.. Cage And Spidey go back to being anything but Avengers.

Hawkeye will not stay dead,.... even though other personal fav's with exception of the Phoenix will stay dead.

The Thing series ends thru lack of knowledge in my opinion coupled with Marvels new policy to cancel a book that doesn't grab a large fanbase within something like 5-6 issues.

Yes,... I wouldn't mind seeing the return of Thor,.. and fully expect a Cage/Rand sort of friendship with Thor/Beta-Ray Bill but:

To quiet the whining of fanboys who believe any change is bad change, (Don't argue with me,.. they are out there!)

Give long-time readers the warm and fuzzies by returning the Avengers to the weak, damaged, in some parts grade C heroes with two or three ubers leading that has been the norm for over a decade.

Step out of character with Both Storm and the Panther by having them go through changes just by getting Married.

Looking like they will be giving Stark yet another major physical injury that only the Armor can save him from.

New Warriors dead for good, Young Avengers probably disbanded after the return of Ant Man and the Vision to the Avengers.

I think I could go on,.. but lets get past the hateful response first.

Are you an insider at Marvel?Half the stuff you mentioned there is simply rumour.

But I will agree with you about how so many rabid fanboys whine and complain about the same old thing every month.

Bendis sucks!
These aren't the Avengers!
Millar is a left wing idiot!
JQ is stupid!

I can understand the hate for JMS,I haven't read his Spidey stuff but from what I've read on various informative Spidey sites, the dude seriously messed with Gwen Stacy and Norman Osborn and made Spidey the latest in a long line of Spider-Gods.Now yes that is stupid, but I'm not going to continously go on about it like alot of cynical people I see on lots of message boards.

I read comics for enjoyment, not to ignite arguments on message boards.

JQ is stupid. Well he's not. but he's all about the dollars and could give 2 ****s less about the fans.

but don't the dollars show what the fans feel, moreso than any letters or internet complaints?

no. The dollars show what little kids get their mothes to buy them. Or little uneducated "fans" who llove wolverine.

He doesn't care what the true Fans want cause we are only about 25 percent of the paying reader.s

People will buy Spidey & X-Men 'cause it's Spidey & X-Men. That's all th' dollars will say.

That's awfully elitist

Looking forward to that.

Horrid decision. Should MARKET THE DAMN BOOK and see what happens before just cancelling it.

Good. I agree.

Works for me. Always been the best formula anyway.

Step out of character with Both Storm and the Panther by having them go through changes just by getting Married.

Terrible idea.

Looking like they will be giving Stark yet another major physical injury that only the Armor can save him from.

Doesn't matter to me, much...he's become almost too powerful these days anyway, really.

New Warriors dead for good, Young Avengers probably disbanded after the return of Ant Man and the Vision to the Avengers.

Both horrid ideas. YA is amazing, New warriors never got a chance with a solid creative team.

In some cases, going back is going forward. It's certainly working for DC right now.

Heck,...

Look at the whining about the New Avengers.
Everything from Cage shouldn't be that strong,.. to Spidey not being a team player, to Spiderwoman having too lush a body, to this team supposidly being "the weakest " to date

JEEZ.

I agree,it's annoying.

I guess the idea of commerce-driven business is above the heads of many people, Elijya. What can you do? /shrug

Yeah, I went out and bout Maxi Pads for all the *****ing about New Avengers, never seen grown men have periods before and it ain't pretty. I have to agree with you, any change that actually changes their favorites is labelled 'bad change'. Damn shame they seem to be bending to these clowns.:down

and i hope the take decompressed storytelling and photorealistic art with them

Spoilers from Wizard...

I hardly think
ending Pete & MJ's marriage
is giving in to fanboy whining. All it'll do is create more whining. And yet, JQ thinks it's the best thing yet. *sigh*

If you read Wizard, then you should know about this. Or you can check out the war zone that is the Spidey Comics forum.

The writing has sucked (and I love some of the work Bendis does before you pull the 'you must just be afraid of change Bull****) get good writting in there and I wouldn't mind if the team stays the say, but it would be nice to see some more of those C listers on the team again.

I also don't remember fans askin' fer Spidey to have stingers or be Iron Man's *****.

Does this mean all the mutants will be back? And juggernaut will get full power back?!

What can you say?

They want money to be the bottom line nowadays.

I seem to remember Stan Lee or Ditko talking about the stories being the bottom line,... but in this merc society,,... you are wrong to want good writing that goes off in new directions.

I really wanted Slott to fully explore the Thing being rich,....

The way the whiners have been,.. I expect he'll get ripped off or do an out of character business deal that would leave him forced to live off the FF.

I wanted the casual friendship that Cage and Parker had to expand to include their wives,.. a night of Bid-Wisk or doing a family vacation together.

Now Powerman and Spiderman get seperated and dumped into their own personal hells.

(grumble)

Peters been overdue to return to the geekhood genius he'd started with. And Stark can start Paying him what he's worth.

Since when is working for someone being sumbodies *****?

I can even tell you where this came from:

At one point Ironman and Spidey were at a science convention in their civilain id's.

Something happened that put them both in costume and shellhead showed an interest in the webbing.

Spidey bragged about how great it was and how he'd invented it. Tony was interested until he found out that Peter had engineered a one hour disolve time into his formula.

So Stark KNOWS he's at least genuis level, (how many 16 year olds could do all that peter did?)

The Spikes?

I STILL don't know how that happened.

Based on the latest New Avengers,..... YUP.

Because Peter follows Tony around like a lost puppy, that's why. It might be the fault of inept writing (go figure), but that's certainly how it's coming off.

Considering Ditko's political leanings, and self-professed love of Ayn Rand, I doubt that was the case. Just PR.

And Stan? Love the guy, but he was all about the bottom line. How do you think the MU started? He was basically copying what DC was doing because they were having some success with superheroes. And previous to that, he was cranking out whatever would sell. If DC had been having success with gay, cowboys-in-space stories, that's what he would've ran with. Now, there's no doubt, in my mind, that they tapped into some kind of creative synergy that the comic reading world was craving. But don't ever doubt that the driving force was $$$. And in my opinion, that's how it should be.
