Anyone else get a hold of this?

I think it's really cool....Kirkman and other writers have really gone out of their way to introduce a very tight continuity, and it sets up elements for the first mini, and even has some touches from the AOD/MZ...the only thing I was disappointed in was that they never explain who/what Magneto made the bargin with that (he says or thinks anyway) brought the virus to the world....

But I thought it was very enjoyable, and Reed's descent into madness was very, unervingly in character for him (or at least what I know of him, not a huge ff fan), and was one of the creepiest things in the book (as well as BP being ''saved'' for snacks later on).

I also really love the fold out cover based on X Men 1. Really sweet.

Magneto made a deal with Zombie Sentry. He thought the virus wouldn't affect the mutants so he helped him find some way into their universe.

That was SO disturbing. And Tony was literally like an hour from getting all their asses out of there.

But Thor destroying the teleportation machine was bad-ass.

Does it say sentry and I missed it? I assumed that was who it was, but I can't remember them saying it....did you see it somewhere or did you just piece it together? I think you are right though, I just thought they should have gone into a bit more detail....though bringing in a zombifying virus seems something more like apocalypse than magneto would do.

I agree that Reed doing that to his family and then just embracing it when they turned him was probably the most disturbing thing I have seen in the whole zombie canon so far....and like you say a few came so close to surviving it, but it's good they didn't escape or like fury said the virus may have escaped too.

I just pieced it together. I mean we know Sentry came from outside their universe, and Magneto infers that he made the deal to bring the virus there so ipso facto. A little extreme on Magneto's side, but he implies he didn't think the infection was going to be so bad/contagious.

Reed was one sick ****. :(

I find the Marvel Zombies interesting to read, but is anyone else kinda annoyed by all the errors the writers seem to make? Or maybe they simply just don't give a ****.

For example, Reed's molecular unstable body can't even get pierced by Wolverine's adamatium claws, yet the rest of the F4 have no trouble chewing on his body. And speaking of Wolverine, shouldn't he have began to turn the moment he retracted his claws? And then there's a lot of other stuff from the original Mini.

I'm waiting for the trade, but I saw the Reed scene, sick.

I dunno if it will come out in trade darth, it's a one shot...but maybe they could fit it in with the aod/mz mini or black panther's arc....

I don't think they are mistakes, I think you just have to take that with the territory and not be too anal about it....I mean we know next to nothing about how the virus works. Maybe it gave the ff properties that allowed them to chew through richards....maybe it didn't...we just don't know. It's not exactly mistakes, but you would go insane if you had to try and figure out all the ins and outs of a fictional virus/world and how they all would need to tie it together.

Really? I thought it was a whole new mini, oh well.

I don't want them to explain all the in and outs about the virus that turns them all, but I also don't want them to make the comic too simple. Instead of being bitten, which makes no sense whatsoever, he could've infected himself by dropping a drop of blood into his eye.

It also would've been a lot more interesting if some Marvel characters would've been able to resist the virus. Or maybe not even be infected at all. Like Ghost Rider, how do you turn a burning skeleton? Or Juggernaut, the gem of Cyttorak (sp?) gives him a impenetrable force field, seeing him trying to fight the Zombies off would've been great too.

But there's no rules with this virus....that's the thing. It may be considered lazy, but at the same time it's not really nessecary to know the ins and outs.

That said, I really do like your idea of some heroes/villains being resistant and having to combat the virus...personally I think Bishop should have been one of the survivors on asteroid M too, I don't see him going down to zombies...actually come to think of it I'd like to see a full on sequel. I mean Forge and the others seemed to somewhat restore wasp (or as much as you could)....I'd like to see stuff like that explored more.
