Perhaps an unusual question...how many fights have been one because Marvel's villains were intimidated by the hero?

I'd say either The Punisher or Thor. The Punisher because everyone knows the lengths he'll go to stop the bad guy, and Thor because he's a god for crying out loud.

Titania was once terrified of fighting Spider-Man because of the beating he gave her in Secret War...

Also; when Count Nefaria became uber-powerful, he picked a fight with the Avengers, and called out Thor. When Thor showed up and started kicking his ass, Nefaria became fearful....although he quickly got over it, i thought that was a pretty cool Thor-moment.

Thor, not just because he's my favorite character and an all-around badass, but for that moment in "Ultron Unlimited" that has now become synonymous with badassery: "Ultron! We would have words with thee." :D :D :D

I am right there with you on that Captain. That was probably one of the best moments i remembered in a comic happening. i was rereading that one the other that last page of Thor showing up and Nefaria being scared S****** was drawn so cool!I would also say Thor probably imtimidates alot of people when he shows up.

I never forgot that Count Nefaria moment, either. I think I agree with the Thor sentiment.

WWH Hulk was also feared tremendously by most per the series, as the Hulk generally is.

Thor's intimidation goes beyond what is normal by the concept that he is a God. And that is not simply super human. The only one not intimidated is the Hulk but only because generally he does not understand the concept of Godhood.

The Silver Surfer must be pretty intimidating when he shows up with Galactus hot on his heels.

Heres my list in no order

Punisher
Thor
Wolverine-(The dudes friggin' Clint Eastwood!!!)
Nick Fury
Captain America-(Think about it!)

i'd say..
Thor
Captain America.
wolverine
hulk!!
ghost rider
i'd like to add the sentry...potentially he is very bad ass...not yet..but,please please please if they write him good...he'd be marvels superman.

The Sentry was only written perfectly in one thing, the original mini.

I am a fan and it took some getting used to but I dont mind him being used in the marvel u. my problem however is that they havent used him properly at all.

Ya know that scene in the Incredible Hulk movie where Banner is stuck in that walkway and they shoot the gas at him and he transforms, jumping through the glass, landing on the ground and then he roars really loud?

That would intimidate the hell out of me.

Not that other superheroes wouldn't, it's just that the whole giant raging monster thing would be especially terrifying if it happened in real life.

I kind of see the Hulk as an anti-hero so that sort of comes into play when I was thinking about the question. Half the reason people are afraid of him is because he is unstable and is just as likely to rampage through the city as he is to defend it from some monster or criminal.

amen brother.

(except I also thought his initial story arc in the early New Avengers was excellent).

And the fact that Godhood against the hulk doesnt mean too much. Though the damn hammer.........God I hate red hulk. From wwh to that crap.

Yeah if a giant guy showed up on the horizon and blotted out the sun, every villain on the horizon would ***** their pants.

From a purely psychological point of view, reading through the Punisher Max stuff seems pretty disturbing.
